Hello, I have been wanting to play a rules-light RPG with a tendency towards historical realism set in a continent with cultures alike those in the Early/High Medieval period of Europe. In the last few months I have been working on it and I have made some "core rules" that cover about 10 pages and I have developed most of the continent to the degree that I feel comfortable letting other people see my works. The game itself is going to be relatively rules-lite but also clinging to reality. Magic in the world is rare. While stuff like fairies and wizards might exist I aim for the player characters to be court nobles/knights/peasants... etc, at least for starters. The style of game I want to run is not really your classical D&D, 3 players is the maximum that I will run games with and your ability to take actions in game is strongly related to your ability to narrate those actions in an interesting and plausible way. This game is not meant to focus on character progression, numbers, battle-maps... etc but rather on the narrative. The narrative itself will be hopefully created by the players in an equal measure to myself, there are systems in place that will allow and encourage the players to lead the game in whatever direction they want and dictate to the GM what they wish to see and what they are no interested in. For now I am just gauging the interest for this type of game, I don't plan on running any long terms campaigns yet. Assuming that there are interested people I would encourage you to post here. I am looking for people that want to be part of one-time games or, if anyone wishes, discuss the system/world with me and give me some feedback. If enough people click with this type of game and the system I will later down the line discuss the idea of a campaign with them.
