This will be the start of hopefully a new network of players that I can draw on to run Pathfinder Society scenarios. We
will be running the first part of the three scenario sequence (First
Steps series) that is designed to introduce a new player to the
Pathfinder Society setting, its ten factions, and what their adventuring
life will be like in organized play. It is one of the best on-ramps to
organized play and the event is intended for beginners. In
signing up and being accepted, you are committing to *all 3*
Introductory scenarios with this group to be played within the next
month sometime. I have space for 2 PCs. Players
must be 1st
level. I will give preference to new people
to PFS in general, but will consider people who are simply wanting to
get a new character going. Players need not select a faction in
advance, as these are
designed to enable an informed choice at
their conclusion, will advance
to 2nd level upon successful completion of
all 3, and will have any
prestige points awarded to the faction of
their choice at conclusion. Players are expected to: -
Be prepared for the game. This includes having submitted a token to me,
a backstory blurb, and their legal for organized play first level character sheet by the
Wednesday before the game. That will be the day of final approval. -
Know, understand, and be excited about PFS. You are required to have
read and at least 90% understand the Organized Play guidelines in the
free guide. You are also required to have access to and understand the
Core Rules. We will be adhering to every last organized play guideline,
no exceptions. Also realize that we have 5 hours to get through the
scenario so that it is both completed at the conclusion of the session
AND reportable. You must be attentive, decisive, available for all 5
hours, and not distracted in order to make this possible. - Be good
characters, but not spotlight stealers. My older players and I pride
ourselves on our RP and we will insert it whenever possible. This means
just plain old hack and slash with a fast forward button everywhere else
on a whim is not appropriate. This also means if you are constantly
taking attention off of the party that you will not work out for us. -
Keep their commitment to the first 3 Intro scenarios at the least. If
you would like to continue adventuring with us, please keep coming back.
The other two will likely occur on Friday night in a similar time slot,
but could move to a mutually amicable day or night. In other words, if
your schedule isn't fairly open Thursday-Sunday (and you have only ONE 4
hour block...probably should look elsewhere). - Be good players,
meaning kind, easy-going, fair, and understanding. Players should
understand the DM-player relationship and the need for collegiality
between PCs. Respond ASAP with interest/an introduction (to my
email and campaign is on the LFG tool) and realize that all materials
must be in and approved by me by next Wednesday for the game next
Friday. Please know that if more
people apply than I can take, I will list everyone for future
scenarios. This one only really calls for 4, but after these, there's
potential to go up to 6. Game Date: April 19th, Friday, 7PM CST - midnight CST Must be approved/confirmed by: April 17th Thanks, DMM ( aurick427@yahoo.com )
