ABOUT THE GAME In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, the realm has been bleeding. The continent of Westeros, the Seven Kingdoms, had been forged into one by Aegon I Targaryen; but the kingdoms had seen nothing but war and dragonfire since the Conqueror had been succeeded by Maegor the Cruel. The gods have smiled upon us, however; the king is dead. Long live the King – Jaehaerys of House Targaryen, the First of His Name! It has been four years since the king ascended to his throne, and the young monarch’s rise has proven it is possible for anyone to rise above or fall from grace. The players may have changed, but the game of thrones continues. Who shall you be at the dragon’s court? A knight of the Kingsguard? An ambitious social climber, steadily making your way to the top through peace, or through the ladder of chaos? Or perhaps are you going to be the head of a noble house, looking forward to furthering your family’s position? Whoever you are, this shall be your story. The Dragon’s Court takes place in the world of Ice and Fire; during the early days of the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen. The year is 54 AC; the king and the queen prepare for their third royal progress, planning to visit the Reach and the Stormlands. The histories mark these days as times of peace and prosperity, but will this be the case for your characters when we place you in the complicated world of Westeros, as the character you always dreamt of being in the Seven Kingdoms? Details: Campaign Name: ASOIAF: The Dragon's Court. Time: Fridays, Weekly, 6 PM GMT. Player Limit: 4 -6 players. Cost: 30$ per session, per player. Experience Level: Open to all levels. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of 30$ per session, per player, via StartPlaying. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Format: We'll be using Discord and Roll20 as our VTT. We won't be using the ASOIAF system as you can see from the title, but instead use D&D 5E. Any source book you may need from D&D 5E, I will be sharing in PDF formats. What to Expect: A player/character oriented approach: this is your story - all of you, as a group. A story-focused D&D experience. Being able tell your own unique stories based off of GRRM's A Song of Ice and Fire and Fire and Blood book series. Heavy roleplay, medium combat. Conflict, drama, intrigue, friendships and romance (consented). Deviation from the canon. A friendly, welcoming table for everyone. What is Expected: As an avid reader of the series, I am well-aware of some of the heavy themes this world and the stories told in it deal with. I will make it clear right now that none of that excuses horrible behaviour; if you use the grim story elements as an excuse to treat people poorly or to just be a bad person / comically bad character, I will not let that fly. Any such themes can only be included with the entire table's consent, as well as after going through everyone's Lines and Veils during session 0. So; if you have a genuine love and passion towards the world GRRM has created, and would like to tell your own stories in it while deviating a little from the established canon while being respectful, kind and accepting to everyone - you are more than welcome. Otherwise, this is not the right table for you. About Me: Hello! Nice meeting you! My name's Onur. I am a writer, translator, a story teller, and - well, I professional game master. I have been into tabletop games for three years and have been running games professionally for about the same time. I've been playing and running D&D in form of one-shots and short campaigns during this time both with friends and professionally. Roleplaying and telling stories has been a huge passion of mine for as long as I could remember, and thanks to the magic of the internet, I get to do that with bunch of amazing other people from all over the world! I've also been interested in D&D and an avid reader of the book series: A Song of Ice and Fire since 2016. I wanted to try and tell a story with people that share my passion and love for this universe, with a low-magic approach to try and see how much fun we can have blending Dungeons and Dragons with Game of Thrones. If you are interested in learning more about this campaign, me or participating, please check out my StartPlaying page, the listing page as well as the interest form below: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cm00rjpvp000314aex56fi9fd https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/407206/asoiaf-the-dragons-court https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1NxDjActH-8NqBlRP9L9Z-z6ykw0fRJJ3qwIeeYAiZl0/edit
