friend of mine and I have pretty much the same experience of playing
D&D which is basically none but we know our shit because we're fans
of D&D and often talk about it, and watch D&D-related videos. We
get the gist, we are familiar with the general mechanics, and we even
have some potential characters already prepared. We are quite motivated to show up for game sessions and have as much fun as we can. We are mostly looking to have weekly games preferably on weekends (GMT timezone). We are currently looking for a DM and other players to start a
campaign full of adventures and shenanigans, we're pretty much up for
anything in terms of high-fantasy including homebrew stuff. Since we enjoy collaborative writing, world-building, and character creation in fantasy settings, we have already thought of some tandem characters with interconnected backstories to play with. Some teasers: A human fighter and a vedalken artificer: unlikely friends pursuing different goals, yet inclined to work together after being the only survivors of an exploring party. A dwarf fighter and a kenku rogue: unlikely step-brothers (the kenku was adopted) searching for ancient treasures to bring honor and greatness to their dwarven clan. A firbolg druid and a shadar-kai paladin: unlikely companions gaining each other's trust while trying to bring good to the world for their ulterior motives. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to post here.
