Hello I've been trying to wait for Roll20 to at least explain this or clarify their sheet which is confusing in some of it's functions but the spell management system is the main reason my players do not want to swap over. It is very confusing. Whenever you spell the manage spell button to prepare spells after a long rest, you are met with just a list of the spells, the only order being alphabetical. Having a list instead of the previous 2014 makes it had to overview what you have. Not only that, I am myself as DM confused what the ' prepare spel' toggle is supposed to when you also have individual 'prepare spell' toggle for each spell in this list. If anyone knows, please let me know. Lastly, with all these racial spells and cantrips popping up, having to remember how many spells you have prepared or can prepare with just a list view is also confusing. To do the math over and over where I want to believe, this sheet is supposed to make things less complex. The most frustrating part to one of my players is that you have to 'prepare' cantrips whereas they are always known. I understand for wizard and high elf you can swap these out but it doesn't help the case of the current system. The rest of the sheet is excellent, and we would love to swap over, but these consistent inconveniences are making much left to be desired. I would know to know how other groups have been handling the new sheet , specifically spellcasters.
