Health Aura visibility

I'm currently using the Health Aura API (Not Jumpgate) and it is working fine. There is an effect i am trying to do with it. Is it possible to turn off the aura from my player's vision until a token/creature attacks? Setting: My players are encountering several statues that will animate/attack at a given time. But I cannot figure out a way to prevent them from seeing the Health Aura until that time comes to pass. Is there a way to 'turn off' the aura until needed?
You can place "dummy" tokens or even non-token graphics to represent the statues while hiding the actual tokens on the GM layer until they "animate". At that point you can either move the "dummy" tokens to the GM layer, off the map to an area not visible to the players, or just delete them.
I’d suggest you either start with the actual tokens on the GM layer and just drawings of statues on the token or map layer so the players have no idea which might animate.  Alternatively (assuming you are using the same API I do) you can set it so it only shows when the token has taken some damage.  All the health auras in my games don’t show until the token has lost half its hit points or more (I run 4E D&D so this shows that a token is bloodied).  Setting it to 95% would mean that there was no aura until the token had lost 5% of its health which might be an answer for you.
The Aura/tint Healthcolor script has a setting to not show any auras until a tokens hit points are below a specific percent threshold. I set my NPCs to 99% for this reason.  Type !aura in chat and go through the menu to adjust your NPC settings.
Thank you all for the advice! The token substitution is easy enough and I didn't know Aura had the % option! Thank you again.
