Hey y'all! I'm a forever DM who's only ever played in an occasional 1 shot, and would love to be a player in a long term campaign that explores PC backstory and has sandbox/exploration heavy play. I'm free most afternoons and am primarily in the CST time zone, tho weekends would be ideal. Feel free to hmu if you need a player, I already have a character designed: Name: Kai (Real name Azrael) Race: Fallen Aasimar Class: Way of Mercy Monk/Death Domain Cleric multiclass Abridged backstory: Azrael is the demigod child of the god(des) of Death and a cleric/champion of their order. Shortly after Azrael was born, his mortal parent died in battle and he was taken to the realm of his divine parent where he was groomed to be an angel of death and--eventually--a god of his own realm, but he was re ckless, impulsive, and indifferent to mortals. Often he would frequent battlefields and take pleasure in barbaric combat. Disappointed in his behavior, his celestial parent stripped him of his divinity and sent to a largely atheist monestary of WoM monks as a child (mortal age equivalent to about 15) who name him "Kai." Years go by, and he becomes a champion of the monestary. He even learns some restraint and patience; tho he still keeps his cocky and aloof nature. Eventually, he is sent on a pilgrimage to travel around the world to gain wisdom before he is able to officially become the champion of the monestary. Unbeknownst to him--however--his monestary was attacked by a nearby tyrant who feared the neutral but powerful group and their influence on the populace that they aided. Eventually, Kai gets word of what happened/revisits the monestary and that's where I'll let the dice decide the rest. There's also 2 relics from the monestary that belong to the champion that he'd be receiving eventually. The 1st is a somewhat ornate bo staff that can turn into a scythe, and the Mask of the Shinigami which is a skull mask that buffs the user under certain conditions (more to discuss w GM) In conclusion, I just wanna play a good game and tell a good story for a decent period of time and I'd be happy to join your game!
