In my games I usually use old wooden windows that had the shutters. Most people didn't have glass windows in the era. It would be nice to have the option on the window setting to close off sight so people would have to open the window to see into a room.

Just a question but do you mean shutters that function as a door?  or just the be able to swap out the icons for those who need that reassurance of what the item is and not just the function of the item?
This function has been requested at least twice before but didn't get enough votes to stay active. Let's see if third time's the charm :) What I currently do to simulate curtains is to place a one-way DL barrier just inside the window (tokens inside can see out through the curtain, but tokens outside can't). For shutters, I use normal DL barriers. You can also just use a door icon to simulate shutters, but that can be confusing to the players.
Would love to have this feature so you don't have to add the extra dynamic layers to emulate that.  As for putting doors instead, defeats the point of having windows and can be confusing to players (and DMs mid game).

so really is just have the icon be selected  between if it is a door or a window. Because if you have just shutters and no glass like the 1st comment it function is the same as the door feature.  or maybe add a shutter icon to select.

Yes, I have the same issue as well. I could just use doors but it is true, you have the players ask... "so which one is the actual door?" Then again you can use the windows and then go to the lighting layer as Rick stated, that is also what I do for now. But I think the option would be nice to just have a Curtains option or something so when you click that, the players still see it as a window icon and not a door. Takes away any confusion in the matter. I have seen several people post about this issue, I think it just needs some +1s to actually push it through.
