First off, i love making entirely new things with my character. I pour every drop of my passion
for creativity and making
tons of new stuff into my characters, their story, motives, personality
and what he/she
does during campaigns both as PCs and NPCs. The next paragraphs are
going to be ALOT of stuff. So you'll see my DM nature immediately, but
its also how I began DnD as a player years ago, so it permeates every
facet of how I play my character. Back-stories from the very first one I
made to now are rich, detailed and long, but purposefully
left with vague holes in both player knowledge and the backstory itself
so the DM can fill in those holes however they want in order to flex
their creativity and surprise me. So here is what im looking for: I
love the concept of the Yuuzhan Vong
and their extra-galactic invasion from the New Jedi Order books and I've
always wanted to play in a alternate timeline campaign where instead of
the Vong invading and almost wiping out the galaxy causing it to change
forever, what if they were stopped
by the Star Wars Galaxy and utterly crushed? But the question is always
who would ever be believable as
capable of
slaughtering and utter destroying something that almost destroyed the
entire Star Wars galaxy with just a scout force? Well, the answer is
Tyber Zann from the game "Empire At War: Forces of Corruption" I have
always loved him as a character and dear lord, you want the true
giga-chad of Star Wars? Look up what he and the Consortium achieved.
Thrawn, Vader, The Empire, and the Chiss Ascendancy wish they could manage to be even half
as good/deadly as this man and his organization. Plus Zann and the
Consortium
disappeared after the game and were never used
ever again. Combine all this with the game's story plus final event
and
you got all the material you could ever ask for. I kinda picture him
swiftly and ruthlessly conquering the galaxy because he knows whats
coming, establishing a new Galactic Empire without the cruelty or
incompetence of the first one or the the petty senatorial squabbles and
political agendas that doomed the New Republic, and then striking out
to invade the Yuuzhan Vong home galaxy to remove the threat once and for
all. Some things
have detail but are
EXTREMELY obscure in Star Wars, others are given just a passing mention,
or have never been
seen. A good example are the Sorcerers of Rhand, powerful creatures who
can use the force, but not of the Force or the Dark side who serve
something else, something called "The Way Of The Dark" and that there is
very clear (but unconfirmed) proof that they are behind the Vong's
existence and the Vong are actually the Taung, the original Mandalorian
species that lived 200,000 years before the Battle of Yavin shown in
"Episode 4: A New Hope" which went extinct but had a splintering with a
large portion leaving for the depths of the unknown regions. The Yuuzhan
Vong and their invasion also raise questions about what is
beyond the Star Wars Galaxy. What other dark threats might lurk out
there at the edges of the Unknown Regions, or beyond? What other allies,
neutral parties, or anything are out there, part of Star Wars but
beyond its only known galaxy? All
this is just my thoughts and I
dearly hope it grabs the interest of a DM and players out there, giving
some inspiration for a campaign. I
need my star wars itch scratched and i already have a character concept. Also if you have questions about things in star wars if you
love the idea but feel like you might not know enough or just want more
things to pull from. I know TONS about this stuff.
