[LFG][5E][EST] Relatively new player seeking group

I'm relatively new to D&D still, I've been playing for less than a year. I'm looking to join a group playing 5E, maybe D&D 2024, that is LGBTQ+ friendly and open to newbies. I'm in EST, I can play evenings (except not Tuesdays) or weekends depending on schedule. Groups that play every 2-3 weeks are ideal, and I'd prefer a newly started group but this isn't mandatory. Definitely looking for some sort of campaign / overarching storyline and not just straight up one-shots. A little bit about what I know! I've played in a 5E homebrew world in the past, with rotating dms that craft one-shots in the same world / same set of characters. I enjoy playing spellcasters most, I'd totally go for wizard again but I'm also open to playing other classes that aren't wizard or spellcaster. Wizard is the only class I know, so in playing other classes I'd need patience and people to help me out with mistakes! Oh, I also forgot to mention - I'm in my 30s, so a group that's 21+ is a must. 

I'm running a short adventure on friday nighy 6pm pst. Don't think you are interested it seems in shorter adventures, but depending on how it goes I may be able to run something longer than a couple of sessions. Or start my Curse of Strahd game again if I can get more solid players. Let me know if interested and I can invite on discord.

Hey Jara, thanks for replying! Unfortunately yeah, I'm looking for something more long term than a short couple of sessions thing. I also forgot to add an age request - I'm looking for groups that are people 21+, just don't feel comfortable with anyone younger

I might be running a longer game afterward but I need to see the group numbers. Without a decent size group, running a longer game or continuing one isn't possible.

First day on the sight so I’m not sure if it’s kosher to jump into a chat, but… I’m a returning player, played a lot years age, and have just been getting my kids involved with 5e.  A bit rusty and need a bit of an update, but I am keen for short hits, leading into prolonged adventuring with the right group.
