My sincerest apologies for this. I'm a tad desperate. I have some experience with D&D and found a love and passion for the game. I haven't played a proper campaign in some time and even then most of the dungeon masters had life happen so things never finished. I would share some of my tales however with my close friends and they have been begging to play D&D. I offered to DM for them and that was quickly stomped out as they would like to play with me as a player. Given the opportunity I'd like to do just that but finding a DM has been a bit of a struggle so I reached my last resort and am reaching out into the aether. If anyone would like to help out, I'd very much appreciate it. To my knowledge I'm the only one with any experience and the others will be new. All together I'd say we'd be about 5-6 players. Not looking for any specific campaign pre-made or homebrew. I just want to allow them to experience the joys of D&D. Also, while beggars can't be choosers, I would at-least prefer 5E 2014.
