Rebel, Rebel - Under Cover of Night [Star Wars][LFP]

"Say it with me! Safety, Security, Justice, and Peace! Safety, Security, Justice, and Peace!" A mantra chanted in unison over the waves. At every pause in the Emperor's speech, roaring applause followed. We citizens crowded to watch as the Republic fell on what would be the last broadcast of HoloNet. An Imperial regime soon took control of Galactic City and the rest of the galaxy. Stormtroopers patrolled the streets. Rebels were publicly humiliated. Anyone who spoke out against the Empire disappeared. The Jedi temple still burning as a message. Crime skyrockets. Non-humans are being segregated, brought to what's come to be called 'the Invisible Sector.' This new Galactic Empire seems to have no regard for it's people. No one says a word. Days don't seem to pass. We're all trapped in a never ending nightmare. Some too scared to leave their homes, some taking to the streets with guns. Buildings are set aflame, markets are closed, and vandalism is rampant. Gangs control what the Stormtroopers don't. A fresh murder is not hard to find. The only law that exists these days is treason against Emperor Palpatine. The blind mantra 'Safety, Security, Justice and Peace!' plays day and night. Coruscant has become isolated from the rest of the galaxy. With the fall of HoloNet, we only receive information directly from the Imperial News Network. A censored and prejudice source. We're shown pictures of fallen Jedi, video of their executions, and wanted ads for information on their whereabouts. The masses believe the Jedi are traitors who planned to overthrow the Republic. Now, in return for loyalty, the Galactic Empire promises ten thousand years of peace. There are rumours, though. Rumours that the Jedi are still alive. That they didn't try to overthrow the Republic. That even Clones have defected and resistance groups act in the shadows. People flock to the lower levels where they say rebels have taken control. This will be a game set on Coruscant (at least early game) shortly after the events of RotS. The First Galactic Empire is strengthening their grip, concreting power over the galaxy. Unlike in the Prequel Trilogy, Coruscant is not looking well. Corruption, violence, hunger, and a fear is out of hand on the mean streets of Coruscant. Confusion, deception, and secrecy are everywhere. Average folks are split. Players will have to survive, duck the Empire, and strike back all under their nose. Players do not need to be Republic sympathizers, but the game is centered around rebel groups. Clone deserters, ex-Republic, and Jedi are allowed, but you have to know that your character will be hunted ruthlessly. Jedi being the top priority. Any sign of a Jedi could get a platoon of Stormtroopers on your ass. The sole goal to find you. Coruscant itself has 5,127 layers covering the planet. Worlds within worlds to explore. Leaving the planet is a possibility. However, ships that can take you off planet are scarce. Coruscant starports are locked down. The only ships that can leave are Imperial, cargo transports, or those who have the proper papers. All depends on the players. We'll be using the ORE (One Roll Engine). Here's a quick rundown . Primarily using StarOre , with REIGN and Wild Talents to fill in some gaps. I'll provide PDFs, but we're only using one or two rules from those books. The engine itself is simple and deadly. I like the grit and I think it fits the style of this game. Being one of the darkest periods in galactic history. You're at ground zero. No where to run and no place to hide. The only hope is to get off planet. How are you going to do that? I'm looking for four players maximum (if there are more I have an idea). Personally, I prefer to GM games of smaller groups. Two PCs is fine by me. I focus on roleplaying. ORE is quick and deadly. Which means you're better off not getting into combat. Any character that could plausibly be on Coruscant, I'll likely accept it. We'll talk. An Ex-Coruscant Police Detective turned bounty hunter. Maybe he's hunting Jedi? A smuggler, but your ship is docked in a locked down spaceport? Defector clones? A robot like HK-47 or IG-88? What about a Mandalorian? Or a member of a local swoop gang? Hey, even a politician cast out after speaking against the Empire?

Oh, now this looks interesting! Having a Star Wars game that's less focused on combat, since we could be killed instantly pretty easily? I'd like to join! I don't know quite what I'd like to be yet, but I think I'm leaning towards a defected clone, although being a Jedi might be interested with being hunted and all. Anyways, this looks amazing, and I'd gladly sign up for it. Edit: Although, now that I think about it, a smuggler might be fun too... Decisions, decisions...

Woo! Three people :D Currently, I'm an open book. Timezone being MST. I'd like it to be an afternoon or evening game. We can all decide when we've got the group. Mads, voice based. I hope that isn't a problem for any of you. Camera not required, but if everyone was game- why not? MQuin, definitely! This takes place right after Revenge of the Sith. I can't think of anything that you'd need to know from the EU to be able to play. If you aren't sure about something in-game, just ask! As for characters, I'd like to work with you all on that. Perhaps have either a group session or one-on-one about your character and what they've been doing since the fall. If you'd like to add me on skype: outlawmach. We can talk further there.
MST evenings are very late for me, it would have to be afternoon in the sense of 1500-1700 start.
Oh, awesome! I'm operating on MST as well, so scheduling shouldn't be a problem for me, especially having it be afternoon. Definitely would like working on you with character, I tend to like being what the rest of the group needs at the moment, so yeah, knowing what everyone else wants to be and then coming up with a character works for me.
Character creation is pretty easy. There's even a one roll generator, if you wanted to go down that route. Sort of like traveller's chargen, if you're familiar. I like to work closely with the players in creating characters.
After reading the pre-log of the campaign it all ready has me hooked. First off I haven't played a role-playing game before, but am very willing to learn the system and how to play. I would need help created a character and etc.

A Mandalorian Medic and an Ex-Clone. Talking with a guy who is interested about what he wants to play. I also ended up with three Americans and three Europeans. One on each side don't seem to be getting back to me. So, still open for new people! :D For either group. The state-side on is Saturday 9pm EST. For the other side of the pond, looking at a Monday, Friday, or Sunday.
