Token Opacity 50% Default

The latest update added "Base Opacity" to tokens. For some reason, whenever I make a new character sheet and set up a token for them, the base opacity is 50% by default when I save the token settings.  This also happens when I edit an existing sheet's token properties that was created before the update.  Game is a D&D 5e in Jumpgate. Let's go through this step by step: 1. Create new character sheet, or open one whose token has not been edited since before the update. 2. Open "Edit token properties"    2.1. The "Base Opacity" says it's at 0% at this point (for me), but the field shows it in the middle. 3. Click "Save Settings"    3.1 The "Base Opacity changes to 50% now. Workaround: Every time setting new token properties or editing an old sheet's token, set the opacity to 100% manually. It seems like a newly created token lacks an opacity value, and sets it to 50% by default if it saves without a value. Feels a bit unnecessary having to change something every single time I create a new NPC as a DM, or setting up a player's new token. It happens every single time for me, but not for a friend of mine who also runs a 5e game in Jumpgate. For him, the base opacity is 100%. I have no idea why there's a difference between our "default" opacity. Edit: Game settings have a thing for base opacity for all tokens. It's set at 100%. I tried changing it and then put it back to 100%. No change.

Hi Mao, Garfield Reborn! Just checking: when you set up the token, are you on the token layer or the foreground layer? I have not had good luck with "Edit Token Properties", and I've seen some anecdotally similar cases lately. Try this work flow: Place the token on the board Edit the token settings to the way you want them to be Open the character and put it into edit mode Select the token and press the "Use Selected Token" button in the character journal. When you next drag the default token to the board, see if the issue has been corrected.

Hi Mao, Garfield Reborn,  This bug has been reported to the Devs. But, to increase the priority of this bug I suggest filing a bug report via the Help Center .  As Keith stated, there are a number of issues with the Edit Token Properties. Unfortunately, Edit Token Properties is also the solution to a bug on the token settings so...LOL.  The only suggestion I have is to manually set it up like you do with the rest of Edit Token Properties that ignores the Campaign Settings.
Yeah.. I have had all of my existing tokens somehow change to 50% opacity when being dragged onto the token layer despite having the option set to 100% in global settings. Unfortunate but only workaround right now is manually changing them all back..
Hang on... there are two separate opacity options in the global settings- make sure you have set them both to full and then see? I did went back in to check and found the second option and it has fixed my issue.

Can you screenshot the location of those two settings, CHOOMBA?

The Game Default Settings has 4 sliders.  Page Details, left side: Opacity.  This setting covers the grid line opacity.  Page Details, right side: Base Opacity.  This setting covers the token opacity Dynamic Lighting tab, left side: GM Darkness Opacity This covers how well the GM can see through the Dynamic Lighting  Foreground tab: unnamed This controls how faded a foreground object gets when a user controlled token approaches it.  It is the Base Opacity slider which folks are having difficulty with in-game.  The slider works just fine for token settings on the token. The problem is the "Edit Token Properties" token settings, which is a different repository of token settings than what is on the token.
