Hello guys, I have a problem with the calculation and results of dice rolls about Call of Cthulhu 7th sheets (from Sheet Development Team ) Few months ago while I rolled dices for skills or else from Call of Cthulhu 7th sheets (ex STRENGH, NAVIGATE, etc.) there were 2 dices rolling (1 for tens and 1 for units) and has this kind of result : Rolling 1d100cs<1cf>96 I'm now working on a new project and while testing, I have 4 four dices (instead of 2) and I have this REALLY COMPLICATED result : Rolling ((1d10-1)*10)+1d10cs1cf10 What's happening ? Do you please understand what's the problem and how to fix it ?... :(

Hi Sepsis,  ((1d10-1)*10)+1d10 is the same as 1d100.  (1d10-1)*10 produces as range of 00-90 in 10 unit increments +1d10 then adds 1-10 to that.  Thus you get a range of 01 to 100.  As for why there are 4 dice instead of 2, likely it is because there is some hidden dice rolls in the system that are not displayed except in certain circumstances. This is a common issue with the 3d dice roller vs character sheets on Roll20.  When you roll dice from the sheet, the Roll20 (non-3d) dice roller rolls ALL the dice that can be possibly rolled. Then the correct dice are displayed.  Example: Some game systems have 1d20 for the attack, and 1d20 for the critical hit confirmation. Both are rolled behind the scenes but the second 1d20 is only displayed if there is a critical hit.  But, when you use the 3d dice roller it doesn't know which ones will be displayed or not displayed, so it rolls them all.  Continuing the example: Since the 3d dice roller does not know if there is a critical hit or not, it rolls (and displays) both the attack d20 and the critical hit confirmation d20.  As for why there is a change, I do not know, I would ask Roll20 that.   You can ask Roll20 by posting in the Call of Cthulhu thread , or via the Help Center .
