THE WAY OF THINGS: Firefly is a space western television series that debuted on the Fox Television Network in 2002. The campaign takes place in the the year 2517 and follows the comings and goings of a c lose-knit crew (which players will portray) as they fly around on beaten-to hell and back space transport (which players will create and customize) from job to job, planet to plane, staying one step ahead of their past. Heavily influenced by Traveller. Players can select from a number of Pre-generated curated characters generated by the Gamemaster, or almost two dozen archetypes that the player fleshes out, or build a complete character from scratch. Heavily Narrative system, similar in ways to Star Trek Adventures, and other skill-based narrative games. The Pitch: Welcome to the Black. She don’t forgive, she don’t forget, and she don’t owe you a damn thing. But if you’ve got grit in your teeth, blood on your hands, and a half-busted ship you call home, maybe—just maybe—you’ve got a shot at surviving out here. Set in the vast, law-frayed edges of the ‘Verse, this is a campaign for players who want to scrape by, burn bright, and leave scars behind. You won’t be flying a clean Alliance cruiser or a shiny corporate freighter. You’ll be slamming fusion wake in a rustbucket that’s held together with hope and old war stories. Your crew? Veterans. Dropouts. Traitors. Dreamers. Killers with a conscience. Lovers with a grudge. People the worlds left behind—or tried to. This isn’t a tale of heroes. It’s a story of choices. And consequences.
