Default new game, enable pre-setting voice/video settings for the 'table'

Score + 16
I spend a bunch of time making new games lately and something that I've essentially created a basic guide for and now share immediately with players is how to go into 'My Settings' and switch off the video & audio, and reduce the size of the player avatars to names only. With the option to pre-set so many options when creating a new game, it would be amazing if we could also include pre-setting some of the option in 'my settings' for the table, to save people time and provide a more polished experience. Even if functionally all you do, is tell the game that you won't be using the audio/video for 'that' game. I can understand why you wouldn't want to be able to set everything.
+ 1 so much. I make backups of my current game and library game, as well as creating new games for trying out  new modules and handouts. Every time I go into one of those backups, libraries or tryout games I have to go through the same routine of turning off the chat tech, resizing the avatars, and turning on advanced keyboard shortcuts. Even when I copy a game to make a backup, it does not save those settings.

Hi Skaldja,  Just a note here, if you are telling your players to turn off Video & Audio, then it is not being turned off. The players have no controls to turn it off.  The player side controls are the equivalent of "mute" on the Video & Audio. But it is still running in the background.  In the future, the first thing you should do as GM is to switch the "Chat Tech" on the GM side to "None". That will actually disable the A/V system for Roll20.  They will still need to reduce the size of the player avatar to name only of course.  Also, I like your suggestion. It would be nice if I could have a system-wide setting so none of my games ever had the Roll20 Audio/Video option turned on when I create the game as none of my groups use Roll20's A/V solutions.

I'm with Gauss, GM disabling "Chat Tech" to NONE setting is best. And, I would like to choose that selection as a GM before the game loads. As well, I would like the Players to have the option to choose No Video, and/or, No Mic, before they load.  Both options can exist (and should), although the Player's choice will not change anything if the GM has already set Chat Tech to None.
haha, I never (forever dm) see that side of the 'table' I always figured the my settings was the same for everyone. That at least makes me feel a lil better about it all from the perspective of the user. Would still like to see these options available for editing without launching the game though. Thankyou for sharing a lil perspective.
