{LFG} {D&D 5e or below} Brand new never played on Roll20. Need help learning

Hi all.  I am 60 years young..  Played D&D a lot in the early 1980's.  And Computer games today.  Looking to get back into playing with people, I joined Roll 20 and paid for the yearly pluse addition. I will be honest; I feel lost and confused..  I been reading the Help section and watching videos but still feel lost.  So I need a DM and game that is REALLY friendly to brand new players like me..  I have the physical 5e books. and I purchased the digital player's 5e handbooks here on Roll20.     I guess post here or PM me if you have a game for me.     Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to mention I am in the US, Texas, Central Time Zone. But open to playing other time zones... I don't stay up real late, so I prefer day games or early evening games. I am retired and have a lot of time on my hands.  :) Thanks!

Hey there! I could run a one-or-two shot game! I'm in PST (British Columbia, Canada).&nbsp; Discord for voice is preferred - the Roll20 voice implementation is pretty good, but it doesn't have noise cancellation and I have AC in my office... I'm available any day&nbsp; except Tuesdays and Saturdays , those are my regular games. I prefer the 2014 ruleset. I don't have the book for 2024... &nbsp;but we can use the Free Basic rules if that's what you prefer. Estimated length is 3 hours , but if everyone is inexperienced we might break it into 2 sessions. I can help folks with character creation if necessary - I'm retired and have the time, with a day's notice or so. Send me a message via Roll20 or reply if you're interested :)

Proposed Time : Maybe... 6:00 pm CT (4 pm PST)? I'm retired so I can go earlier or later, that's just a proposal to get us talking. I'll set up a game, start sending out invites shortly.
