Memory Leakage Continues--Opening Character Sheets And Tokens Makes Worse

So...my problems with memory leakage continue. Today I was updating and creating more area of effect tokens. This required me to open and create (one at a time) very simple tokens and characters using a near-blank map. I closed each token and character sheet asap. Never more than one of each open. The memory usage climbed up to 1.7 GB (it was around 412 mb when I loaded the page). Five minutes ago I closed out the game. Usage is still 1.3 GB. So clearly each time it opens the a token or character sheet it grabs lots of memory and holds onto it for dear life. My environment is Windows 11, Chrome, extensions AdBlock Plus, Bitwarden, Adobe Acrobat, App Launcher for Drive, Disable HTML Autoplay, Duck Duck Go, Google Analytics Opt Out, McAfee Web Advisor, Google Docs Offline, Honey. I'm happy to provide more analytics if you show me how. Also happy to do a Zoom and screen share.
I experimented a bit more. I turned off all  of my Chrome extensions. Memory seems steady...until I started opening tokens and character sheets. That tripled memory usage. And it didn't let go of that memory once those tokens and character sheets were closed. In fact, I've closed the game and gone to this forum page. And memory usage is still 966 MB. (If I load this page from a clean tab I just instantiated it's only 500 MB.) It really doesn't let go! Since extensions were closed, I doubt they were the problem. Next experiment I'll try only opening character sheets...then only opening tokens. To see if it's one or both that leaks memory.

My games are also having lots of alag/memory leak issues, and so is one of the players in his own game that he DMs.
