New Player LF Friends/group

Hey there, my name is Leahana. I'll try to make this short and sweet. I started playing NWoD with some guildies of mine and fell in love with it. I've always enjoyed roleplaying, and have always wanted to get into table-top gaming, but I have the tendency to be very shy and nervous around new people. In fact making this post is kind of a big deal for me. I'm really a fun and very creative and clever person, I just take a bit to feel comfortable. I'm willing to learn to play anything, but I'm posting here to see if anyone might be interested in helping me learn how to play something other than WoD or might be willing take me in on a campaign. I'm a very fast learner, and a lot of fun once you get to know me. :3 My only issue is being new and shy. Really not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm hoping someone takes notice. I'm pretty much available 24/7 to play or talk even, so if anyone feels like teaching someone the basics and adding an awesome roleplayer to their ranks, please let me know. :)
Hi Leahana, I'm currently running a Lamentations of the Flame Princess campaign right now, it's a retroclone of 1st ed Dungeons and Dragons. The setting is weird fantasy, with extra creepiness and gore. It may be a good choice for you, because we are play entirely by text; we also use maps and tokens of course. You can find more information, as well as the links to download the rulebook and character sheet, here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/100196/lamentations-of-the-flame-princess-old-school-sandbox-campaign#post-117649 Please let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions.
I'd definitely be interested in anything at this point, as long as people don't mind teaching me the rules and being friendly about it. :) I'll check it out and get back to you here shortly! Thanks for replying I saw all the views and no replies and just thought everyone hated me or something :P (jk) I'm open for multiple things and anything really, so if anyone else might want to help me learn how to play something new, I'd be really quite grateful for it :)
Welcome Leahana! I hope you have bunches of fun and find some new friends and good games!
Thanks for the welcome :)
Salutations. I'm trying to get together a group of new to relatively new players for a game of Legend(A rather lesser known d20 system) and well I would love to have you. You sound alot of fun, and a fast learner is always good to have. The rulebook is available at www.ruleofcool.com If you have any questions. Feel free to message me. Or post here and I'll try to answer them. Edit:Made a topic https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/125824/experienced-gm-looking-for-new-players-for-a-legend-game/#post-125824
I will give it a look and let you know! Thank you for the offer :)
Hey Leahana! All this sounds awesome! I may have a spot for you, sending PM =D
Everyone is so welcoming, it makes me feel a lot better about the whole thing. Thank you so much everyone! :)
I find that the DnD/Gaming community is fairly inclusive with a lot of things. What's the use in gaming if we can't get more people to play with us? I've only played through one 4 hour session and it was a lot of fun. Welcome to the fold :D
