Player Token Appears as if 'Above Darkness'

Hello all,  One of my Player Character token can be seen above the darkness layer.  I have made sure that the token is indeed on the Token Layer, and it still has the same issue. I have also tried testing this by changing who can control this token. Even when I select only the Player is able to control the token, when I 'Rejoin as Player' the token still seems to be visible above the darkness layer.  I have attached a screenshot of the problem to make it clear that the token does indeed appear above the darkness layer, even when completely obscured.  The token is on the token layer.  The token has any 'Foreground Options' selected as Below Darkness (even though it is only ever on the Token Layer. The token is not emitting any light source.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Barnes,  "Rejoin as player" is not the best method for determining what a player sees. A number of potential issues exist. 1) GMs may assign themselves control over tokens (there are reasons for this). 2) The system may get confused on which mode you are in. 3) It is a pain to switch back and forth between GM mode and player mode in order to make changes and logging into the game in two different modes in two different tabs is probably going to result in #2 happening.  The best method for seeing what a player sees is a Dummy account . logged into a separate browser or an incognito/private window of the browser you are using. (Assumes one tab is incognito/private and the other tab is not.) With that said, I was not able to replicate this.  Could you recheck via a Dummy account?

You might try toggling the setting, In your game > My Settings tab above chat > Graphics > Always Display Controlled Tokens On Top I don't know that it is relevant to this situation, but might be worth a look.

Good callout Gold, I was able to replicate it with that setting.
Gold and Gauss - thanks for that! You are absolutely right. It is a pain, and I can tell that Roll20 gets a bit cross-eyed when trying to view the game as a player. I can confirm that this worked - it must only be a thing that occurs on the DM side, but I didn't to risk this being a thing that players had to deal with, so thank you both so much.  Heroes!
