How do I fix "crunchy" and/or "blurred" graphics on Jumpgate?

Hello, I am looking to make a potential change to Jumpgate but I'm noticing all of my graphical assets experience a "crunch" or "blur" in Jumpgate. Below are 200x200 tokens pictured. Here is how things look at 100% zoom in a Legacy game: Here is how things look at 100% zoom in a Jumpgate game, with "Experimental Performance Enhancements" disabled (too blurry): Here is how things look at 100% zoom in a Jumpgate game, with "Experimental Performance Enhancements" enabled (too crunchy): The issue is particularly egregious when using tokens that feature lineart styles rather than painterly. Changing "Image Texture Resolution" in Jumpgate makes no difference (I am using Google Chrome). Is there a setting in Jumpgate I am overlooking to avoid this, or is this just a Jumpgate-specific thing?

I don't know the answer to this, but I do want to bemoan the fact that my eyes can't detect any differences between those three images. :(

Hi Mikey, Unfortunately screenshots will not accurately diagnose what is going on. Could you send me an invite to your game so I can take a look at the source images?

Here's a GIF comparison, maybe this helps? https://imgur.com/93BjySB Gauss said: Hi Mikey, Unfortunately screenshots will not accurately diagnose what is going on. In the future I suggest PMing the links. You may delete them from your post. Please promote me to GM in both games.

Sorry I haven't gotten back before now. Busy weekend. :) I took a look at your games side by side and I noticed something else besides the tokens. The Roll20 grid lines at 100% opacity are different in Jumpgate vs Legacy in addition to the difference in tokens. (Jumpgate left, Legacy right with Experimental turned on) (Experimental turned off) The grid lines in Legacy are nice and crisp, in Jumpgate they are a bit fuzzy. This may point to a general resolution issue in Jumpgate. Even on max settings they are different. I also see the differences in the tokens. Same tokens, poorer quality even at max value on the Jumpgate side. With your permission I'd like to forward these two games to the Devs for comparison.

Status icons also seem to have a similar blurriness in Jumpgate for whatever that's worth. You can of course forward anything necessary to the Devs! I do hope this is something that can be fixed.

Hi Mikey, Which OS are you using? I am discussing with one of the Roll20 Staff and we are seeing some differences between browsers (Chrome vs Firefox) but also between Operating Systems.
I am running Windows 11 and using Google Chrome. If I can answer anything else just let me know :)
