Intended Use The Roll20 Forums exist to discuss topics directly related to the use of the Roll20 program and Roll20 systems. Please understand that violation of any prohibited item may lead to deletion of the corresponding article without prior notice, temporary or permanent ban of your forum account, or other measures. Common Courtesy It is expected that all discussions will have a tone of respect. It is important that all discussions are held in an intelligent and amicable manner. There will be no tolerance for any person-based attacks, passed judgement (be it on issues ranging from gameplay to lifestyles), or incendiary language (dramatic communication with the intention of provoking a strong reaction from other users). This does not mean that debate is disallowed- only that it must be constructive. However, critiquing of posts is only allowed when specifically requested by the original poster. Civil Discussion Discussion should be centered around adding to our community in an intelligent manner. For that purpose, we ask that you refrain from: Repeated submission of content unrelated to the theme of a thread or topic, obstructing communication. Repeated intentional submission of identical content or incomprehensible content, or "trolling". Submission in a language other than a designated language (for moderation purposes). Criminal acts or conduct related to said acts in submissions. Discrimination, insults, slander or offensive speech; damaging the reputation or trustworthiness of another. Use of foul language and aggressive tone. Publication of any personal information or information related to personal privacy, regardless of ownership. All conduct potentially bringing disadvantage to our company or the management of our company. Any other behavior deemed inappropriate by administrators. Trolling, whining, passive aggression, reliance on memes, spamming, irritating repetition (including topic/post duplication), and intentionally unclear or misleading posts are not welcome. Furthermore, while these areas are intended for adults, clearly explicit content is prohibited. Please make an effort to use the best grammar available to you. Piracy is Prohibited We do not allow the encouragement or distribution of pirated works. This is not meant to target the showing of interfaces or fan work accomplishments- only actions that undermine the rights and property of others. Competing Interests and Sales Any promotion of outside sales items or fundraising is prohibited without prior approval from Roll20. Official Sources of Information While we encourage all of our users to aid each other by answering questions and making suggestions, the only official source of information regarding Roll20 comes directly from those marked as members of the Roll20 Dev Team and the Mod Team . Any requests made by them within a topic require strict adherence. Furthermore, any attempted impersonation of moderators or Roll20 staff will result in an immediate permanent ban. Prediction of Developer or Moderation Action Any and all posts predicting how a Developer or Moderator will address an issue will be deleted- with the offending poster being banned. If you see an issue on the forums you think needs attention, please " Report " the post and let the Moderators address it- do not attempt to publicly solve (or predict the solution) yourself. Similarly, arguing with Moderators or Developers on the forums will result in a ban. Abuse of the "Report" Function The " Report " function keeps the community safe and the team vigilant. Any abuse thereof will result in a warning and if the behavior persists, a ban. Enforcement of the Code of Conduct Use of the community areas is a privilege, not a right. By participating in the community areas of Roll20 (Forums, Looking for Group system, Wiki, etc) you are agreeing to abide by this Code of Conduct. If you choose to disregard it or attempt to circumvent its intent, we will take appropriate action, including removal of your ability to participate in the community areas of Roll20. This applies equally to both free and paid users of Roll20.
