This is a COWBOY OLD WEST setting like Deadwood, American Primeval, Django Unchained, Open Range, Maverick and Tombstone. G rated racism and PG rated murder and violence will be present. There will be white settlers taking land from each other and native americans, miners claim jumping and killing to get the best gold, and ruthless railway men and pinkerton detectives, rebel confederate soldiers fighting union cavalry, mormons trying to carve out a new country and willing to kill to do it and retaliating against christian persecution, Asian prostitutes looking shanghai drunk cowboys and looking for opium, black families taking up their 40 acres and a mule and demanding justice and rights, cattlemen pushing stolen herds of mexican cattle and cutting farmers fences, spaniards fighting bulls and breaking broncos to ride, and native indians killing settlers and stealing cattle and horses to get vengeance for broken treaties and raiding other tribes for women and child slaves. If any of this triggers you to the point you would not be comfortable or be able to have a good time, by all means stay away from reality and history books and also dont play this game. - THIS IS NOT DND 5E . It's designed to be easy to learn and ez to make characters. Firewinds of the OLD WEST is a fair, easy to learn CLASSLESS AND RACELESS RPG SYSTEM. You are not prohibited from doing things by stupid class and race restrictions designed to disable your character. When you start, all macros are already made for your character sheet. I will tell you when and where to click a button to roll until you figure it out yourself and we are supe r beginner friendly . Use a quick worksheet to make a character in 10 minutes and be ready to start role playing. Everyone has the same targeted AC system where damage literally could cost you an arm and a leg. The religions/magic system in this version of the game is your ability to use special religious artifacts and magic items, You will add your R/M skill to the d20 roll to see if you can unlock the item's special powers. Your character sheet starts on paper just like classic TTRPGS, on roll20 you will fill out the 'character building worksheet" using a paintbrush tool. I will manually enter the skills and abilities you select onto the roll20 character sheet and you will be able to use buttons that are prewritten for you to click on your turn so you don't have to type in rolls. We use discord for voice and announcing upcoming games. Discord is required to play with us. If you have a disability and cannot speak we can accommodate you, but everyone else must have a working mic and discord. If you have friends and want a private game we can make a regularly scheduled game and discord server for just your group and meet at certain times every week. or you can play in one of my open games. OPEN GAMES are PLAY WHEN YOU CAN - it is OK to JOIN LATE - or - LEAVE EARLY - or - MISS SESSIONS. I post in the discord group and on roll20 pickup games when they start, anytime we have 3 players we will have a game . When you leave or don't show up your character will walk away or rejoin the party later when you can play, but the story will always go on with or without you. GAME REQUIREMENTS -All characters are human, Please come with a name and a human token or .jpg image to play -Be Professional about gaming, and keep the game moving during the game, It's cool to reference pop culture and music without getting into politics or political correctness or being a hater. -Be ready for your turn so you are respectful of other players time. We use a turn timer so you can see if you're next, you are welcome to say “skip me” if you are not ready yet. Because cheaters may be using delay hacks on the roll20 site, if you do not make your rolls in a timely fashion I will roll for you. -Be both serious and funny, talk in character and out of character, and create rollplay with other players, not just the GM. If you want more roleplay, start it yourself with other players and npcs, But most people who complain about not enough RP dont realize it is not all the GMs Job. Get involved, have opinions about the situations in the game and talk to the other players in character about it. I will keep the game moving along but take all the time you need for Role Play. -Care about the teammates and make sacrifices to help other players. This is a story of heroes not evil murder hobos or selfish rouges who will stab teammates in the back for loot. Rpg games among friends are better than random strangers who don't know or care about each other yet. We are here to have fun and help each other have fun. We play to be social and make friends. If you're not a nice person who wants to make friends and hang out with others and help each other succeed, you're probably not going to fit in. If you want to bond and fight for glory with friends, come join us. -We welcome players of all races and sexual orientations so don't be ashamed to be who you are in the fantasy realm, but I do not give anyone any special treatment or privilege because of it. Any real life racism or homophobia towards other players, or demanding special privilege, sexual harassment of other players, or generally disruptive or distracting others from the game, will result in being banned regardless of the player's gender or race. -You must have a good mic and internet connection to roll20 and have discord. Because this is recorded , if you have a mic hum or party going on in the background the recording can't hear other players over your background noise. -YOU MUST BE 18+ and ok WITH GROSS VIOLENCE AND HORRIBLE LANGUAGE, You can message me if you got any questions.
