Resource Macros

I normally never use Macros as they rarely save any time but i suddenly occurred to me that my group's ability to keep track of money is terrible. I especially have no way of telling how much gold they have. Or components or anything. And I really don't have time to look at each of their sheets and memorize their individual wealth or keep track of a third party resource. So I was wondering is there a way to make a macro so all I have to type in is like [Player1gold] and it pops up player 1's current amount of gold or [player1gold]-50 and it subtracts 50 gold from his sheet?

Have each user create an Attribute labeled 'gold'. Then you can reference that attribute. However, you will not be able to automatically subtract from the attribute without using the API or a bubble on the character's linked token. Example of the referencing: /w GM @{target|gold} This will ask you to click on a token and you will find out the amount of gold the token's linked sheet has.
Thanks! I went ahead and made a character sheet titled "Party's resources" and gave it a treasure chest token so I could keep track of the collective party resources. And I'll just have my players put gold and stuff in their attributes so I can quick look at it. :)
My group had a corporation that they were all officers of. I had a handout that had their credits on, and just used that. The character with an attribute is a smarter idea that I should have thought of!
