[LFP] Darkness over Middle Earth! Based on the DND 5e system, set at 7:30 AM PST, biweekly on Friday!

Hello all! I am looking for someone to share in an adventure, as Gandalf would say. We need heroes to set forth into Middle Earth and fight back against the growing shadow of the enemy! This game uses the LOTR RPG system which is heavily based on DND 5e 2014. It does use custom classes and cultures though, and uses things like Fellowship points and Shadow corruption! It's set in 2965 of the Third Age of Middle Earth, before the War of the Ring. I love Middle Earth and it is my fave fictional world ever created, and I'm hyped to run this. I currently have two confirmed players and looking for more! The available cultures to choose from are Mirkwood Elves, Lindon Elves, Beornings, Men of Dale, Woodsmen, Men of Bree, Dunedain Rangers, Dwarves of Erebor, Dwarves of the Iron Hills, Dwarves of the Blue Mountains and wandering Dwarves, and various Hobbits. Please let me know if anyone here is interested! Depending on when you post my replies might be delayed, as I do my day job a lot when not here.
Very interested!

I would be interested. I liked the One Ring for its adventures and travel rules, but the character/ combat system was rubbish. As for short rests being a sacrifice, that avoids some of the silliness of 5e. A Tolkien fan since the age of 14, and an RPG - er familiar with numerous systems as player and GM.

Group seems to be leaning towards Balin as a patron.
If accepted think I'd play a woodman; in fact in the One RIng pregens I liked the background story for the Bride. If you'd let me I'd adopt her name/ background but roll/ buy my own stats as per other characters, that would be ideal.
