Door and window size issues

Recently, when placing doors and windows, they appear too large and cover up the two nodes that allow them to be stretched out, so far no workaround has been found on my end.
I submitted a help center request to address this last week. I quit setting up the map and signed out of the campaign. Trying it again it later, the icons were coming in at a more reasonable size.  It happened again this past weekend in a different campaign.   I highly recommend you send a help center request as well.  The more incidences reported of the a given issue can help them troubleshoot why it happens

I see mostly see this happening when the grid scale is set to something other than "1", like 0.5 or 0.25. As a workaround, I temporarily set it back to "1", place the door and window icons near where I want them, then set the grid scale back to what I want. I can then adjust the endpoints. (Don't change to a different map before you do or the door and window icons will resize and you'll have the same problem again.) In my case, I was setting grid lines at 0.25 and then switched back to 1 to place doors and windows.  I took a video of placing windows with my report which demonstrates the window icon clearly over the handles to position the window.  It may be related to changing the grid size to place DL lines, but it was definitely back at 1 to set the windows.
Similar case for me except that I sometimes need to set the scale back to .25 to place the endpoints for narrow windows. I also sent pictures with my report: Oginme said: In my case, I was setting grid lines at 0.25 and then switched back to 1 to place doors and windows.  I took a video of placing windows with my report which demonstrates the window icon clearly over the handles to position the window.  It may be related to changing the grid size to place DL lines, but it was definitely back at 1 to set the windows.

I know this is not of much help to those without access to mods, and it's a workaround, not a solution, but the Portal script can help in some of these cases. It allows you to shift doors and windows to paths, and back. I.e. you could drag a tiny door as a path and convert it.
