What’s a beholder’s favorite food? Eyes cream. 👀🍦

Have a “1” on Notifications but nothing new is in there…

Edit: Solved it, but ti is very unintuitive. I had to hover over the icon instead of immediately clicking. Forum responses should be an option to select after clicking it, please…

I agree the GUI there is very confusing. They changed it recently (within the last 2 weeks), but they said the functionality is the same as it was before the change. But I don't necessarily think so. It certainly feels different, and has led (for me, and for you) to clicking into PM's when I wanted to see Forum notifications.  Anyway tho, you get used to it. Hover to mouse-over the Envelope icon to get Forum Notifications, for now. Click the envelope to go into Private Messages inbox.
Currently I have the number 4 on my Envelope. Mouse Over shows nothing Clicking it takes me to my inbox and there is nothing new there. I may have clicked it accidentally, rather than just mouse over it (personally I HATE mouse over drop down menus, always getting in the way when you don't want them and you are trying to click on something else), which seems to have turned off the mouse over effect, and I can't find the messages to dismiss or read them.  I can search my threads manually, but that is not what I want to be doing all the time.

I find this new functionality utterly useless on my iPad browser.

It's not ideal, since it should show up without being hidden, but this has been pointed out by a few people.

I’ve just found out that the hover option with the Apple Pencil works but not with a finger.
Finally got this one sorted,  Deleted the cache. I've been doing that so often lately due to the other issue, that I hadn't realised that I'd not done since this issue appeared
Yeah, I'm hovering over it on a Chrome Browser, and nothing's happening, so any help would be appreciated.

"1" icon on the envelope; nothing happens when I mouse-over; clicking goes to Private Message Inbox, where there's nothing new (and the notification persists after going through my whole inbox and opening every page of ever message thread just to be sure). No obvious workaround presents when I use the browser's Inspect Element on it, and I don't feel like trudging through the minified JS event handlers attached to the icon to figure out where things are going awry.

The problem is clicking on the inbox no longer removes the number. You have to hover over it then click "Dismiss" (maybe view)
