Have you ever, in your ventures through your PBTA archives, thought to yourself, "Man, it would be really cool if there existed a sci-fi PBTA game that was, you know, good? A sci-fi RPG system that I could mold into damn near any fandom or theme I want without having to make a ridiculous amount of changes to the core system?" Well, this is not really that - not yet anyway. Don't worry, I'm working on it. PBTA games like Impulse Drive, Uncharted Worlds, Offworlders, and... well, no that's it - out of the hundreds of PBTA games, there are literally two sci-fi games - and they are either...not great... or Roll20 does not support them. Have you seen Roll20's Character Sheets for those games? Dear god, just use Monster-of-the-Week already, the greatest PBTA Roll20 CS format of all time. Anyway, moving on... VoidKnight: The Final Age is a grimdark Warhammer 40k-inspired TTRPG that puts the narrative first. Oh, you want the power fantasy? Play the VoidKnight, a genetically-engineered super-soldier in power armor who decimates his foes with advanced weapons. You like investigations? Play the Observer, the hyper-paranoid inquisitive individual interrogating even his own allies. You like magic , then the Mystic is for you. "But I wanna play literally all of those things!" - then play the FaithLighter, a faith-enhanced super-zealot using magical fire to eliminate their foes, with the power of faith. And fire. And if you just wanna fix stuff, play the Techie. There are more playbooks coming, like the Renegade or the Witch-Hunter, and dozens more, but I've just got these 5. And the Observer and VoidKnight are claimed, and since this is a playtest, you're gonna have to claim one of the unclaimed playbooks for this first, FREE playtest: the Techie, Mystic, or FaithLighter. You may have caught on that I said "this first, FREE playtest", and that's because the playtest one-shot on the 21st of March is the only FREE playtest for this game. That's right, I'm a paid GM and I have a Patreon. If you wanna play more, and you like our little community, we've got a whole tier system set up for you.
