Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: 1 Year of GMing Timezone: EST Schedule: Sunday, 7pm EST Seeking : 1-2 players Setting primer: (I will be as succinct as possible as to be respectful of your time.) The game is themed after the Bronze age collapse, but with heavy magical elements. The denizens of the setting are desperately trying to rebuild after the threat of a a powerful being known as the Cuegle orchestrated the near extinction of most sentient life. The Cuegle nearly succeeded in his goals, using his powers of foresight to orchestrate multiple cataclysmic events at once in the hopes of snuffing out all sentient life, mortals and gods alike. It was only through the desperate resistance of the deities of this world and an ensemble of the world's greatest heroes that managed to preserve what little remained of the world at that time. The setting is set 20 years after this apocalyptic event, the emphasis being on rebuilding civilization and dealing with the many monsters that now overrun the ruined lands of the world. The residue from all these cataclysms still permeates the barren bones of this world after all. In depth lore on the various cultures, races and other details will be found in the discord server for the game. Though such lore is not at all
required it is present for those who want or seek it. Appropriate lore
or culture regarding your chosen race and so on will be automatically
known, and you'll be able to find it in an appropriate channel that you'll be
given access to if so desired. The history and lore of the races
and cultures are heavily inspired by historical bronze age cultures.
Being an avid historian, you'll find a respectable attention to detail
and consideration for these bronze age cultures. It's something I am
quite passionate about after all! The game will use homebrew in limited doses. Most homebrewing will be used to change all human and human like races to types of anthropomorphic animals; humans exist as the only "humanlike" playable race. These race changes are largely just reskins, the base mechanics will remain the same. The only mechanical homebrewing will be done in regards to balancing musket weaponry and siege equipment (both are much stronger). However, higher tech weapons are considered exceedingly rare and are usually flavored as steampunkish/ancient lost tech in some way. I am mentioning this in case this may be a deal breaker for some people The game will start as a one shot with 2-3 sessions. Depending on how
the one shot goes I may continue it further, but for now, I'd like to
just test the waters. For players, I would ask merely that you be respectful, okay with some minor LGBTQ themes, and be 18 years old or more. Additionally, I would kindly ask any player interested not bring much in the way of politics to the table. The current table as it stands is rather apolitical. The game is intended to start on the 5th or 12 of April depending on how things pan out. I would also highly prefer that any interested players also be furries. I apologize if such a preference causes offense. If any of this has managed to catch your attention, please consider dropping me a message here or in dms. Either is fine. Anywho, regardless, thanks for giving my post a look, happy rolling. -Kim
