Roll20 can't see my audio devices

Trying to get my mic set up with Roll20, but under audio/ video when I try to enable or configure anything, Roll20 cannot see/ detect any audio devices. Everything is enabled in Chrome. Everything is enabled in Roll20, mic is not muted, and the mic works as expected in Discord and Audacity. I can hear other people, their mics are working fine. I've restarted the game, and my computer and even rebooted. So far I'm coming up dry. I do not yet have a camera, this is strictly an audio interface issue. I'm on a PC, if that matters. I had a veteran Roll20 player walk me through setup and we poked at it for an hour. Whatever it is, it's not obvious. Any clews would be appreciated.
This may not be it, but the top reason I see for this is roll20 doesn't have permission to access the mic.  There's a dropdown in the URL bar in your browser where you can access the permissions, in Chrome I think it's Site settings from the dropdown in the URL bar and that'll have a list of all the permissions for the site.  A similar permission is required to access the camera.  Permissions to use these devices are site specific, so allowing it on one site doesn't allow it on another site.
