Hello everyone! We are creating this forum thread to facilitate direct communication with our fans in the Roll20 Community. If you are a fan of our work and have questions regarding our VTT content, this is the best place to reach us. Due to recent changes in the Discord app and associated user-privacy concerns, we are currently re-evaluating our approach to community engagement mediums. As we look for better alternatives, please feel free to engage with us here or via our social media profiles (available in our bio). Who We Are? Peter's Starforge  is a brand dedicated to creating high-end TTRPG content with a particular focus on spell-and-tech and sci-fi themes. We are the spiritual successor to the long-established  Peter's Forge  philosophy of providing high-quality content for GMs and Players to increase their enjoyment of games played at their table, be it digital or otherwise. We want to enrich the library of high-quality sci-fi-themed assets currently available to players who enjoy them. We focus our creative work on compatibility with game systems developed by dedicated brands with a proven, long-standing history of goodwill practices and TTRPG community respect and trust. Our goal is to create a robust collection of high-utility art and other content with a consistent, comprehensive art style that can be used as a universal tool to help GMs bring their imagined worlds to life with minimal effort and maximum fun. To achieve this, we are currently working on creating: VTT Tilesets Map Packs Dashboards Utility Art 3PP Rulebooks We are very excited to be on this creative journey with you. What are we doing on Roll20? We have a large collection of VTT assets currently on sale via Roll20 Marketplace, much of which is legacy content originally created by Peter, our Founder and current CEO. All content created by Peter's Forge is now part of our brand, and as such, we are bringing it up to our high standards: Limited Commercial License:  Every product already purchased is retroactively granted the free  Limited Commercial License , enabling free private and commercial streaming of TTRPG games using our art assets purchased via Roll20 Marketplace. Free Upgrades:  We will be implementing free upgrades to some of the oldest items on sale, bringing them up to date with contemporary technology and VTT capabilities. Some items were created over 13 years ago with file size and resolution limitations in mind. We won't touch the old files to avoid disrupting existing game pages; instead, we will add new files to the existing marketplace items. Users who already purchased our assets will receive the updated content for free with no additional costs. This process will be gradual as we simultaneously launch our new 3PP and VTT art content in 2026. What's next for our Roll20 Marketplace? Apart from updating older packs, in 2026 we plan to extend two popular content series:  Modern City  and  Space Ninja Tiles . Modern City:  Here is how Peter, the original author of this content series, describes the idea behind it, which we intend to uphold and expand upon: "I wanted to create something that allows a GM to purchase one product pack and be able to run several different games with it: a Cyberpunk game where players are searching through an industrial warehouse to find clues on the location of a rogue netrunner, an AlienRPG classic marines-fight-through-an-abandoned-mine-to-rescue-civilians scenario, and on top of that, a Starfinder giant mecha-vs-kaiju fight in the middle of a city. All of that and more by purchasing a single product pack, with an option to pick and choose only what you need from it. I also wanted to include a way to create a visually engaging way to run a car chase—that's where the Animated Streets pack comes in. Using an old art design trick from the early 90s that was often used in arcade game development, I made animated maps that create a visual illusion of continuous forward movement. You put static tokens on it, play an action music track in the background, and you can run a mid-car-chase combat encounter with your friends using only a VTT. There simply wasn't anything like that available for TTRPG at the time, so I designed and made it." Space Ninja Tiles:  This map collection series is dedicated to creating an old-school, high-fidelity, sci-fi modular map pack. It is intended to eventually cover locations where a player group of true space ninjas could find themselves facing their cosmic opponents: a greedy space-corporation base, a rugged and rusty militaristic space-dictatorship starship, and aloof space palaces of super-advanced races of genetically enhanced ascended tyrants. While such locations can be used for a variety of sci-fi settings, we hope they will fill the gap of map assets for themes that lie in between the rusted, low-tech grimdark and the clean, flashy super-tech. We plan the final collection to include modular tilesets, premade map packs as well as pre-prepared Roll20 addon maps. Beyond those two series, we will be looking for the Roll20 Community's input on what is most needed in the fields where we focus. Community Engagement We are always looking for input from our fans in the TTRPG Community to improve our existing and future content. If there is something you would like us to focus on or an area of our already created products we could fix or adjust, please let us know! Thank you for your support!
