2024 5e sheet. Hex type query macro?

Hey guys, i'm trying to come up with a macro or a line to add into a damage roll that will query if I have hex or spirit shroud active? I can add an effect to roll a d8 damage, but this isn't ideal because it adds to all damage rolls and not just attacks like I want. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Snig,  As you stated, when Hex (the spell) is added to a D&D 5e 2024 sheet's Character it creates an "Effect" in the Combat section. That adds to many things at once.  If turning it on/off is not adequate for you you can add a query to any damage line.  Open your Character Edit the attack by clicking the pencil icon. (Do not open the Advanced section of the attack) On the damage 2 line, add the following query where you'd normally put the damage dice.  ?{Hex?|Yes,1d8|No,0d8} Put the damage type as Hex - Necrotic or something similar.
