New Hasbro DnD Market Strategy Change?

Does anyone know how the players on Roll 20 will be affected by this new change? What does this mean for us? I know this is rather new and the issue just dropped, But I am hoping that Roll 20 will be able to remain the last stable environment for the players when D&D Beyond has robbed us of so much of what makes the game.
Totally understandable reaction, but I can confirm this has no practical effect on our partnership with Wizards. We've worked with them (and many other publishers) for years, and those relationships are healthy and fruitful. Partners sell their products in ways that work for them. That's always been true, and it doesn't touch our licensing or contracts. D&D Beyond has offered services that overlap with Roll20 and other VTTs and character mgmt softwares for years now, and we're all still here. Players have always had different preferences and tools, and that's fine. The ecosystem is bigger than any one platform, and on the business end, all of us (even among direct competitors) recognize that this is healthy for the industry. So no need to worry, it's business as usual for partnerships, and it's cool to see Wizards experimenting with more ways to serve folks!

What new change are we talking about?
If I understand it right, they are looking to include "premium" monthly content that you need to pay monthly for, the new content is only available on dnd beyond.  They are trying to do away with physical books and go more micro transactions.  I could be wrong but that is what it seems to me.  Thankfully never spent a dime there, I bought all my stuff on Roll20, so as long as that doesn't get taken away I will be happy.
From what I understand they are starting with D&D Beyond but are hoping to implement these changes to all of their 3rd party distributors. Theoretically making it so that anyone that "has access" to their products and books will have to implement or use their subscription model. At least that is the way that it was explained? And I didn't really mean to shine a bad light on D&D Beyond. Some of the corporate decisions that are made without taking into account their player base, and the ease of access to the game make it frustrating to use. I much prefer Roll 20 and hope to support this great platform for many years to come!
