I had to make an alt. account because it kept saying the Google Authenticator code didn't match. Mother****er yes it does, I did it ten times. There's no "I don't have access to my authenticator, or see customer service" option either.
I think this is more an authenticator problem than a Roll20 problem. I see the same behavior with Google Authenticator on several sites besides Roll20. GA's countdown timer also lies - half the time when I generate a new code I need to get it typed in within seconds or it fails.
Data Point: I use Twilio Authy and it is working A-OK with Roll20 and every other site that I can use 2FA with. Edit: Check that your phone time is correct. If your phone clock is wrong, Google Authenticator will calculate the wrong numbers.
I've had that come up when I get logged out and the mfa prompt doesn't work from the URL that I was on, but if I go to the the front of the site and login there it seems to work. I use Authy.
