No clue what I'm doing, looking for any D&D group

I have like the most basic understanding of D&D but I am hoping to find a group that's willing to let me join in even if its just to watch/listen.

Hello. While I will not provide you what you are looking for. I hope I will be able to provide you with good start line at least :) First, welcome to R20.  Second and now the most important part: Please put down your availability, your time zone and what you are looking for in terms of experience. There is no need to go into detail, but for DMs, its important to know if you will be a timely addition.  Its also good idea to look through games via Play>Join Games. Sort it by parameters(Like F2P only, system you want to play etc) and start from there. Also feel free to ask any questions, or if you need any help, feel free to send me private message(You can do so by clicking on my name and send private message).
Good day. I am trying to get a Shadowdark West Marches campaign running. It's not D&D but it's rules are similar and simpler. The West Marches style of game means that players aren't expected to attend a regular scheduled session, but rather drop in or out whenever they are available. This makes it low commitment but also means you won't always be playing with the same people. Most players who have joined are in GMT -4/-5. The game is open to new players and experienced players. Send me a message if you would like to know more :))
I have a game that needs a bit of explanation. The game is open Thursdays and Fridays 8 PM EDT. Players can attend whichever sessions they like, as long as they make an occasional appearance they are still active. It is a city based game and all sessions are episodic, so there are no cliffhangers. Characters can be Bards, Fighters, Thieves, or Wizards. I emphasize roleplay and solving problems, we are neglige' on the rules. Each character can create a number of NPCs, based on their charisma. Each week they will receive rumors from each NPC. The group will meet briefly at Mike's Bar to discuss the rumors and decide on a mission to run that night. At any given time there are at least 6 possible missions available. Players can have more than one character, they will not operate together. Players can share information amongst themselves. Characters will have macros made for most of their actions, to keep things moving. Locations are highly detailed with lighting, weather and random events built in. I currently have about 35 scenes created.
