I've played with John before and have watched the whole campaign thus far I would be interested. My only question is if I get to make my own character or use one of the characters who left?

I have played 5e before and am available 5pm PST. The group I play with (rl) haven't gotten very far in the module so there's no risk of meta gaming or spoilers.

Daniel B, Steven W: It'll probably a new character that John (our DM) will have had prepared, it's to make sure that the story makes sense.
