Noob to DnD LFG. US central time. Available all days. English only.

Looking to start from the beginning on a DnD campaign.  I understand the basics of the game but I have never had the opportunity to play a live campaign.  I am looking to be able to create my character from the floor up and to gain a full working knowledge of this game while doing so, for future games.  I do not have access to any books or character sheets as I am trying this out and do not want to buy them yet.  If you are willing to put up with/teach someone new to the game I am available all days of the week in the afternoon/evening/early morning.  All times relative to US Central time.  I would prefer a smaller campaign, as in maybe 5 or so characters. Just so you know I do have a mic and I am 100% willing to participate in a full campaign whether it can be done in one night or over the course of several. I am also a new player and would like to try and learn too. I am avalible on most days and at most times too.

Do you mind one more jumping on the train, Shane? We might be able to get a group going if we keep getting more characters. If you don't have dnd insider (automatic character generator) and need help building a character, I dont mind typeing it in for you.

Hey there, just saw this and wanted to throw my lot in. I don't know if you are looking for a GM, but I would love to be able to get a chance to since I am looking to try it out. I would be a new GM myself so I think the learning curve would still be there as  we both try to work out the system. If not, I will be more than happy to jump on as a character and help people out with that since I have played a fair amount of D&D so far, but as always I am continuing to learn. If you would like to have me as a GM, I have a campaign module we can start at and go from there. It is a starter so it should be a perfect one to delve into. Also, I am thinking about getting my D&D insider sub as well, so I can possibly help with character building. Hope we can get a good group going here.

They have a reputation for being harder to play. Out of curiosity, what module do you plan on using Tyler?

Any chance you guys could squeeze in a sixth player? I've long been a fan of D&amp;D computer games, but never had the chance to play the real thing. I'm in PST (GMT -8) and available most of the time. Looking to play 4e if possible!

What edition are you looking to play? I'm looking to start a classic AD&amp;D 1st Edition game (based on the recent reprints) soon.

I'm in the process of&nbsp;finishing&nbsp;up my prep on my game. It is a retroclone system called&nbsp; Basic Fantasy rpg &nbsp;but it will be houseruled some.

I don't know about the OP but I think even without him we have&nbsp;enough&nbsp;people. I am really down for what ever edition. My&nbsp;group&nbsp;thoughts so far are with:&nbsp; -Craig H. -Tyler M. I am also thinking of doing this over Roll 20 and Skype, though since I am not experienced in how this will go, I am open to sugestions If this works out for everyone, just shoot me a pm with ur skype info and i can add us all to a group so there we can discuss the times and days we can meet.

None of my group has any problems with it usually. If you experience problems with skype then try the google+hangout without skype. they have their own voice and video service. Roll20 uses tokbox and that is somewhat buggy but it does work for certain groups.

Whoops, I didn't notice this thread before--guess I should've posted here instead of starting a new one. Anyway, hi, I'm another newb hoping to get into D&amp;D 4e. I've only played a couple of hours, but I think I've got the basics down, and I'm figuring out character creation by experimenting with the Character Builder on the Wizards site. I'm PST, and my weekends are wide open, but I might be able to play during the week if need be...
