Player Looking for GM, D&D. Preferably 3rd or 3.5

Alright, so I am new to this site and sadly new to D&D. I have played some mock games, and I have done a lot of reading, but I have pretty much no game experience so I will need a group that is pretty patient with that. My biggest issue will be getting started. Once a game is going I am usually fine. I can build some characters too if I need to. I already have a lvl 1 barbarian and druid lying around I think. (I like starting at level one, feels more real to work on a character from the ground up). I have a pretty open schedule as I am heading into summer vacation.

Have you checked out Pathfinder yet? It is a variation on 3.5. You can find the rules on Paizo's PRD website for free. You should be able to get into some of the regular pathfinder society games until you find a regular campaign. - Gauss
I don't know, 3.5 is what I have experience in. I'd rather not learn a whole new game.

The core rules are about 90% the same. The biggest changes are classes etc. where they got extra abilities.  Pathfinder Society games are 1 off games where you sign up and play. There are at least 2-3 games a week on Roll20 that you can choose from so you should be able to find one. In any case, I hope you find something. If you want to add Pathfinder to your list of games played let me know and I can help. :) - Gauss
Thats definitely tempting. Well as long as I can still be a druid and I don't have to buy any books I'll give it a shot

Druids have been changed a bit, rebalanced to not be the uber machine they were in 3.5. However, they are still quite powerful and can be very fun to play.  - Gauss
