I am looking to start a Longer-Term Stargate Campaign using the GURPS Lite Rules. I am willing to GM the campaign. Therefore, I am looking for 4-5 players to make a Player Character Team. I would like the Team to be fairly conventional in make up (no vampires, displaced people from ancient Rome, Hobgoblins, etc.). Play would be GMT-5 (US EST) on Friday, 7-10 or Saturday, 6-10, or Sunday 2-7. If there is enough interest,I would be looking to start the campaign in early to mid-February. We would be playing monthly or possibly bi-weekly. Newbies are welcome. Personality and meshing as a group is more important than experience. My background- I am new to GURPS, but am really interested in a Stargate campaign. I played the original Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (i.e. 1st edition) from 1979-1990 at least monthly. I have some GM experience in that game. My related interests include Stargate SG-1 (of course), Stargate Atlantis, Dresden Files, old and new Battlestar Galactica, area 51, drones, etc. If there were enough interest in my regional area (see title) I may be willing to set up an initial meet up and then make the game in person if the meet up goes well.
