New player looking for a D&D GM (any edition will do) (GMT-5)

Hello, I've been wanting to try D&D for a while, but haven't ever gotten the chance, so in other words I'm a utter and total noob. However, I do have a decent amount of RP experience. I am living on the east coast of the US so my timezone is EST (GMT-5), but I am able to change sleep schedule to fit whatever timezone if needed. It doesn't really matter to me which edition of D&D that will be played. I'd ideally like to play weekly, but once again it doesn't really matter much to me. I'll probably need some help setting up my character (example being what races are available, classes, stats, stuff like that I can make my own backstory though) since it will be my first time playing. Thank you for your time, and please consider having me in your next campaign~
You are welcome to join us in this DCC campaign, which is very similar to D&D.  Our time zones are only an hour apart.  If you read the three posts under this Looking For Group entry, you should be able to decide if this is for you.  pm me with any questions.  Happy gaming! DM LFP Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG, Entry level fantasy game, Wednesdays at 6:00PM CST, (UTC-6) On going

Good luck though!
