Time: Friday, 7 PM CST. Players: 4-5. Communication: Skype, Roll20. Prequisites: Microphone, speak clear English, basic RP ability. Disclaimer: I'm a brand freaking new GM. As the title says, I'm hoping to run a steampunk campaign based on D&D 3.5e. Plenty of homebrew rules and fun stuff like airship combat. But, I've never GM'd anything before in my life. The campaign will be more of a fun time than 'here's story, go do it'. There will be a main story, but the party can derail as hard as they want. A few things to note. 1. Magic. I'm only allowing one primarily magic class (bard, wizard, sorcerer, cleric, druid), and at half the amount of spells they normally have. For other classes with spells, they'll only get one spell of each level. This is mainly because of the world, but also because magic gets kind of op. 2. Levelling. I hate hate hate experience crawls, and my main goal is to make the PCs feel epic, so levelling will be quicker than normal. 3. First session will encompass character creation, so don't make one beforehand. However, come with at least a concept. 4. New players welcome. But, experienced players are also welcome so that people can yell at me when I get rules wrong. 5. Speaking of rules, I'll try not to make this a rules heavy campaign. This is an RPG, not a war game like 40k. Pausing to look up a rule every 5 minutes will really bog things down. That's about it. If you have any questions just put a comment here or PM me. If you're interested post a comment with whatever info you feel is important, I'll be picking people Wednesday evening.
