i once played a Mexican albino troll porn star mage. his screen name was "El Tigré." He wore brightly colored, spin-tight pants, open short-sleeved collared shirts, and had giant bull horns. He was a very passionate fellow, and the only one in the party with face skills. it was made very clear to me at the start of play that i was not, however party face! :P a good time was had by all. i kinda like teh idea of us all being former military, but maybe all different militaries, from all over north america? that could be really fun. I would think so. I wanna be some kind of special ops or at least some kind of gorilla warfare person

in seattle, security is privatized. that means that all military organizations (including the police) are mercenary ones. i think that by default, the Seattle police are run by knight errant. so the short answer to your question is, most likely yes.

when is the game btw? this sounds really fun!

But Seattle is close to Tir Taingire, and their police for is very militaristic (The Ghosts being their SWAT teams)

Yup! Seattle is basically it's own city-state. Also I'd like to get everyone who is interest's skype, so I can begin to organize people into a collective call!

we still don't have a GM. we're still searching for a GM, hence the post still up top, and my footer. (ALL CONCEPTS SUBJECT TO GM APPROVAL. GM STILL NEEDED) untill we get a GM no time or schedual can (or should) be arranged.

in shadow-run, fantasy races did not always exist. regardless of what happened before the 1900s, in the late 19th century magic returns to the world, and a bunch of people randomly "serge" into fantasy creatures. some give birth to humans some to new races some to what they are. it varies. shiva are from india, they have 4 arms.

Alright, so here's the plan. What if I made a combat-mage who summoned warrior spirits to semi-posses him in combat situations? That'd be badass. (Again, all concepts are awaiting DM approval, we still need a DM!)

okay, so i'm actually going to pitch this. i'm serious. an all dwarf party. dwarves get the shit end of the stick in SR, i say we take back the night! a team of dwarves bent on changing the world. little people are people too! we could actually play a bunch of different dwarven or mini people subraces. i'll grab your feet, and they'll have to swing us both! my dwarf will be the native american biker dwarf, with a black hog! his name will be Morty, and he'll put most of his points in to mechanic, firearms, being heavy, and drinking. yeah serios, it's pretty much sham-king. shaman king is a about 1/5th of what magic in SR does. (ALL CONCEPTS SUBJECT TO GM APPROVAL. GM STILL NEEDED)

What if the task requires us to pick something up from human sized table? What's then, Mr. Serious? (STILL NO GM THOUGH)

we stand on chairs. we use magic. we burn down the table to reach what's on top. we throw thigns up there till we knock what we want down. we fly. we stand on each-others shoulders. we ask for help from an NPC. we hire lackys. we summon monsters or spirits to help. or a few hundred other solutions, Mr serious. :) also, points to any gm who builds encounters around our short stature. that's be funny. I've decided I'll play a former Tir Tairngire Ghost who is a cybered out street samurai elf, just so I can destroy anyone who gets in my party's way.

i'm doing a stealth generalist. basically a back-up rigger/ mage-adept, with a focus in perception and assenceing. also he'll have a sniper rifle, if i can scrounge up the ¥

I'd loved to join and try out shadowrun

out GM has ye tto confirm, so we're still taking applications. make suggestions talk about yourselves and your ideas, because we need to keep this alive til a GM is finalized! Currently it looks like our party mak-up is ranged adept, cocoon-style rigger, japaneese-style street sammy, and a perception mage-adept/swiss army knife with cybernetic... he's a generalist with a focus in stealth and detection. we actually have all our bases pretty nicely covered, range, matrix, magic, melee and enough overlap to handle the rest. so every slot is open. two tanks? walls won't contain us! Two utility characters? the swiss have nothing on us! two ranges specialists? can you say cross-fire ambushes? two mages... hehehehe :) so play something divergent or play something that overlaps. either way the party is looking pretty sweet.

IMO it's best to have a party that has Too many good balanced chars for double teaming ridiculousness!

We might get another player in, but right now we're specifically looking for a DM!

Well, i'm still down to play, with my character prepared. I wouldn't even mind running it, but: -I'm a horrible GM -Don't know the world or mechanics well -It's a lot of work

finally finalized my character build. i know i took a while but with no GM i kept tweeking it. perception adept, 22 dice in perception and assencing, tons of skills, 41 points in gear, and every single kind of vision, hearing, scent and recoarding. also plenty of stealth.

We're sill looking for a GM. we'll play in just about whatever setting you want, we just like the 4th edition for mechanics for the splat-books. all characters are just brainstomring till you, our savior, arrive. till then we're just killing time.
