Map won't load; black screen only

Hello, I'm successfully able to log in, and it looks like the map is about to show and then all I get is a black screen where the map should be - I'm not sure what's going on. My computer is almost brand new, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with my new setup. I'm using Windows 8.1 and Google Chrome for my web browser. Everything is up to date, I'm just not sure what I'm going wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hi, John. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the site. Can you please follow Steps 1-3, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you.

Also, if you are a player make sure that the GM hasn't got dynamic lighting effects on and no tokens that have sight/controlled by you. It could be that the map is there, you just can't 'see' it with current permissions/settings. Or... you may have a token that has sight but the GM hasn't yet set any light sources for you to see by...?? Also try scrolling around, you might need to be at the very bottom corner of a large map to find your token and its visible light sources... If you are the GM then disregard my inane ramblings and defer to Steve (who, lets face it, is more likely to solve your problem than a humble GM like me!).
