Hello, I'm looking for two more players for a Numenera campaign. I won't repeat a lot of information here that is already available in the LFG listing, that'd be redundant. There could be players who don't notice Numenera is under the 'Cypher System' catagory. Or players who havne't heard of Numenera and wouldn't have thought to look for it - this post is for those players. Numenera is set a billion years in Earth's future. It's not the same planet anymore. At some point the Sun was kept from exploding, so that's a good sign. Humans may have been wiped out by alien visitants once, that's not so good. The landscapes been rearranged and there are species as varied and different as the dinosaurs would seem to modern-day man. The great civilizations have fallen or left and the people still here have forgotten their secrets. Society is a mish-mash of modern day and medieval, sprinkled with advanced technology. Maybe that adventurer doesn't know he's found the wreckage of a spacecraft shot down in some war. All he knows is he's found a helmet that lets him see in the dark. Maybe this Aeon Priest doesn't truly understand how it works, but he knows if he crosses this wire with that one, presses this combination of buttons, and waits 10 seconds before throwing - his foe will vanish in a blinding light and never return.
