Two of my players cannot create a character. I cannot create one for them.

When I go into the Journal (as GM) and try to create characters for two of my players, they don't appear in the drop-down list. When they attempt to create a character, they can get as far as the journal's page but the link to create a character doesn't exist for them. What am I missing here?

Hi Dee. Just to clarify, player's can't create journal/characters sheets or handouts, only the GM can do this. Once a player joins and enters a campaign once , their player name should show up as an option for the "In Player's Journals" and "Can be edited & controlled by". Once you add their name to "In player's journals" and "Edited & Controlled by"... they will see their sheet and can control/update/edit the sheet at that point. Once you create a journal/character sheet (+ Add button at top of sidebar Journal tab), open the journal page, and use the "Edit" option to add player control to the sheet, are you saying the player's names do not show up as an option?

Vince is correct. Players do not have the ability to create characters, and players only show up in the listing once they've actively launched the gaming tabletop at least once. In case you might find it useful, here is the link to the Journal wiki page .
Thanks Vince,Sarah. It's exactly as you say.
