40k RPG: Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, Black Crusade!!!

Hi everyone, I'm Adam and I am completely, 100% absolutely green to all things online RPG-ing. I am, however, quite an experienced Games Master in all 40k RPGs and are incredibly keen to play in a group running either: Dark Heresy Rogue Trader Black Crusade I own most of the source books for all these lines, but am more interested in being player than running a session (GM fatigue). I live in Australian (GMT + 10 I think). Super, super, super, super keen to play!!

Looking for a group, willing to play Black Crusade. Particularly interested in playing a Night Lord who is stealthy and crushes people with his bare hands. Available weekdays.

I'd also be interested in a Black Crusade game. I have a Psyker from the Free RPG Day demo (updated to the full rules, with the piles of xp that came with it) that I'd like to continue playing, since I moved away from my group.

I'm very keen to join! I've only played a few games of FFG40k but I am familiar with the rules and pick-up on things very quickly. Also GMT+10 Black Crusade is preferred (mainly because the character creation system is bad-ass) If we can avoid Monday and Saturday nights I will be free anytime. A perspective Dark Heresy game fell through because the GM chose not to take previously played characters, so I'd be up for that or Black Crusade (as mentioned). I too would request no Saturdays.

I havent played warhammer before, but i'd be interested in rogue trader if TZ would fit. (european)

I'm in. I don't know much about the Warhammer universe but I am a huge fan of the Tau so if I could play as one that would be great but I'm fine if I can't. (and if the we do Black Crusade and the other players agree not to just out right shot me I have a way to go as a Tau in that) I'm good every day (except Wednesday, Thursday) after 4 I'm at GMT +10 btw

I may be interested in playing. I have the PDFs for all the different 40kRPGs and a few of the supplements. I have even played some Dark Heresy and am GMing a game of Rogue Trader. I wouldn't mind playing some Black Crusade, I would just have to read up on it a bit more. But I am up for any 40kRPG really. I am GMT -5 and possible job opportunity that may only let me do a few games. I would have to see where the chips fall for that before I can say for sure. But as for now, I am free most days except late Saturdays and all day Sundays.

I'm a Dark Heresy player only played 1-2 games with it, I own most of the books physically though and they are basically untouched so i'd be looking to play DH and finally get some fun out of them.

I'm interested in a 40k rpg, particularly dark heresy or only war (the others are good too). I'm GMT -5 and can play most nights.

Would anyone be any interested in a daytime Rogue Trader campaign? I'd be running the Warpstorm adventure series; Two maybe three hours in the 10am-3pm range, Mountain Standard Time, GMT -6 , once or twice a month. I run a theatrical/cinematic game with a focus on the rp and over-the-top combat. It'd be my first remote game, but I've been wanting to get more 40k gaming in. As I've been running a monthly house-ruled RT game since May of this year. Drop me a pm if your interested and we'll start a dialogue. I'll be vetting applicants for flakiness and asshatery. Only looking for three to four players depending on interest.

Seeing how much interest there is, I could put together a Dark Heresy game during the week. I'm only working part time right now, so I have a bit more time on my hands. My interest would be an Ordo Malleus game, so I can use the material in Daemon Hunters. I'm open to existing characters from past games, or new characters. I'd love to play any 40k RPG, Black crusade would be fun, I'd like to roll up either Alpha Legion or Night lords, Rogue Trader would be great, I've had this idea of a sneering Imperialist type character, speaking in a British Accent, and regarding everything non-imperial as uncivilized haha. thanks now to dig trough the corebook to see what it all means. i could use some help filling it in though..

well im going as a sniper/communications guy (using the assassin class) for items that we need: Microbead each (to be able to communicate over distance) A glowglobe (incase we get in a dark area) and a Lazcutter (so we can get through sealed bulkheads)

I've sent Scooter a background for a Tech-Priest. I've also put my Skype info on the game page. I' haven't bought any equipment yet and Tech-Priests get quite a big budget so I'll have a look at Laz-Cutters and some proper form of Vox.

I already got a Vox since i'm going to be spending most of my time right at the back and i'm going to have the best view on everyone and everything anyone on the ground or in orbit would need to know the location of. I also haven't been invited to the game just yet

it doesn't matter so much for my characters since ill be spending most of the game trying to roll <68 on to hits, 10s on damage rolls and <52 on radio calls

the sheet automatically calculates some stuff though so your movement is currently ridiculous because it thinks you have a 39 mod on agility also great.. i start with frenzy and 1 point of insanity due to chem geld (rolled it..) i can pilot and navigate us aslong as we're in space.. and i can do a little bit of healing (how do i gain actual pschyic powers as i apparantly start with only minor ones..

Raven- Major Psychic Powers do not come into play until later ranks I believe. I'd look it up but i'm moving and my rulebook is packed away at the moment. I want to say it was like the third rank.. Tate and James- Yes, the circles are for your modifiers, the blank spot next to it is for your base score. The actual modifiers don't come into play a whole lot besides base armor, speed, and extra melee damage due to strength.. and possibly psyker powers. So you will definitely have to swap those before your character could be accepted. Tate- Where are you getting a 52 from? Your Int is 39 and you are only trained in Tech-use. That gives no bonus, just means you aren't getting a penalty. Am I missing something? I know Scooter said he'll accept old characters and such.. but normally in online situations people have to use a point buy system which I would recommend.There is no way to confirm a random roll unless you do it via chat or whatever in front of the GM. Which is also a way to do it I suppose. A few other things.. Why no armor? If you are supposedly a valet (james) why do you not have any drive skill? (Unless it is a different sort of valet...) Also keep in mind, although it varys from GM to GM, in my experience bullets have to be named for whatever gun they were bought for. It does not make sense that you would fire a hunting rifle round from a stub revolver. We are not playing Borderlands after all.

I'm pretty sure that the game hasn't actually been created and posted. I think he is currently working on it, but said he wasn't feeling well so perhaps it has stalled a bit. Oh, I know the book says to roll your stats, I get it. I'm more or less stating that you might or might not have to redo your character stats depending on what the GM decides. He can always use negative mods and difficult tests to cope with strong skills if the game is too easy too early. I'm pretty sure the psykana mercyblade is for committing seppuku. (As in, for killing yourself if you feel you have become possessed, corrupted, etc.)

(and because of that i'm slighlty insane allready! and the ring.. i guess could be a charm? or is it just for money..

I'm not positive on the ring. I think it was sort of your proof that you are a sanctioned psyker to show people?

no that's the sanctioning brand the the ring is part of the wed to the throne result of the sanctioning side-effect roll (along with the chem geld trait)

It does not have any extra game benefit except the value of the ring, if you would ever consider to sell it. I think that represents the deep link between the throne and you ;).

Yes, definitely it has a significant value for the character and most likely no one would sell it. It has made also a special alloy as far as it is none-existent in real world, which might have some attribute, like none-corrosive, etc.

I am considering to join if there is still any place open/or if the game will start. I have a character ready in case there is a place and the time will be good.
