If you could add one thing to the DnD 5e sheet it would be...

Also, I don't know if it's impossible for some reason, but it's really weird that when I stretch the character sheet nothing changes in size, I expand it to fill up my screen but the boxes stay at a fixed length, the whole thing seems to be fixed which doesn't really take advantage of the popout character sheets nor bigger screens.

Actoba has set a max width of 832px. Not sure why. His comment: "overall wrapper to fix moving width issues with overflow on hidden sections". I don't see any issues when the page is bigger. It has trouble when it is smaller, not bigger.

The lack of a Skin field (or any other RP/background type field) is by no means deliberate. It's simply a factor of a decision that was made early on to only provide very basic support for these type of fields given that roll20 provides a separate and much more customisable Bio section for players that desire this...as well as to keep the sheet more compact (less fields overall) for performance reasons though this is now largely not a factor given recent roll20 updates. In this case the RP fields were easy to drop and/or only provide some basic fields for given a viable and more flexible alternative was available and that the real strength of the char sheet system is the convenience of rolls and autocalc fields. I'll see if i can squeeze in a few more fields going forward to help support the RP type stuff now that it shouldnt impact the sheet performance, though I think i'd still encourage the use of the Bio features too as it's possible to share that data with others without sharing the charsheet which is kinda nice, especially as theres no way to share a read only version of the charsheet at present. The max width was set to fix issues with the previous tabbed page system which included transitions between each page when users selected a new one. In order to use the transition animations the sections were coded differently and this caused other display issues particularly for firefox users. The fixed width was put in to fix that. I have not tested this since changes were made to the sheet to change the way the sections were done (at the cost of losing the transition animation) to help performance particularly as a part of the new tablet app support. I do have a task sitting to look at the entire sheet design anyway partly to make it more touch screen friendly and partly to just tidy up some sections that could do with a refresh. I'd likely look at more fluid design options as part of that.

I happen to agree that the Bio page is probably the best place to keep such things, as they aren't fields that players generally need to access for any kind of information or macro building, which is, lets face it, the primary reason for having fields in the first place. That said, a suggestion to add to a few fields here that WOULD be useful for a player or GM to have rather than the generic hair/eyes/etc? a few fields listed somewhere that address which pronoun to use for said character. Subjective Pronoun : she/he/it Objective Pronoun : her/him/it Possessive Pronoun : his/hers/its title : sir/ma'am/miss this lets your macros get a little more specific, though of course they could be named better that subjective, objective and possessive. Examples: /em attacks with @{selected|objective} (her) longsword. @{selected|subjective} (she) does 1d8+10 damage to @{selected|objective} (her) target. /em tries to bluff @{selected|objective} (her) target, forcing @{target|objective} (him ) to roll his empathy skill to defend against it. I know it seems small, but such things really do make for a better read of macros that no longer have to be quite so generic in the why they are written. and because the fields for each are blank until filled in, its not stepping on anyone's toes in terms of political correctness, which is the reason why gender was asked to be left blank if on the sheet at all; after all, its simply determining how they wish their characters to be addressed in general.

My players like to pretend there is no bio page to write stuff in which is why the skin colour was quite noticeable to me, again especially when it's new players, not so much when you know how to play DnD though having some things inside the character sheet and somethings in the bio is a bit confusing, even though I'll never use it I agree that taking those out of there so they can be put on the bio (except for weight since I always need to know how much someone weighs when they're unconscious and need to be carried, I swear comes up every session) and replacing them with possessives, etc is a pretty great idea. Edit: I'll have a video of what I mean regarding the fixed width in two seconds. Edit 2: <a href="https://youtu.be/Xyl7P5oBPqg" rel="nofollow">https://youtu.be/Xyl7P5oBPqg</a> There you go, the bio page happily makes use of the entire screen, but the character sheet refuses to go beyond a max limit (I had honestly never tried to make it smaller before which is I referred to it as fixed before)

As I mentioned earlier. The fixed width on the character sheet was to fix another issue that may now be gone. It's on the todo list to re-review/test Exhaustion tracking is something i;ve been meaning to add in for a while but I knida got distracted with roll template and class action toys :)

Why doesn't the new class action boxes support basic macros? like /roll 1d10 or such?

This sheet is pretty sexy but I do notice that I can't break out the damage when multiple sources happen at the same time. Example: Icestorm... If used against a creature with resistance to cold they would still take full damage from the bludgeoning. Edit: actually I figured the first part of my question out... those that might want to know, if you was to separate damage types since the outer brackets are ' (something) ' You can just make (in the case of Icestorm: '2d8]] + [[4d6' And it will output X + Y which will be great. Maybe I am missing the macro tutorial on it somewhere, I know I could create my own external custom macro but it would be nice to do everything from within the sheet. Also I am not finding where/how to access the values I need, I looked at the elements in debug and thought I could simply do 1d10 + fighter_level inside the class section but that seems to not work either. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

One thing that would be really nice to have for this sheet though, not sure if it was already mentioned, is to have a view of only the spells that you have prepared or maybe the color changes when that is toggled, also being able to see which ones you can cast as a ritual would be handy. Seeing as Wizards could have LOTS of spells in their book it would eventually prove cumbersome to scroll through all of them.

Create a rollable table called "attack_flavor_slashing", and a rollable table called "damage_flavor_slashing" (because blunt, piercing, and slashing cause different wounds), also a rollable table "damage_result" 2.) create character attributes on the "Attributes and Abilites" tab of the characters journal entry: Token_Title = Sir, Lady, Lord, the(npc or monster) Token_Subj = she/he/it Token_Obj = her/him/it Token_Poss = his/hers/its Token_Desc = The Destroyer (of little gnomish toes!) 3.) make a macro: /em executes a complex maneuver with @{Selected|Token_Obj} (her) @{Selected|Weapon) (Longsword) and [[ 1t[attack_flavor_slashing] ]] @{target|token_Title} (the) @{Target|token_name} (goblin) [[ 1t[damage_flavor_slashing] ]] @{Target|token_Subj} [[ 1t[damge_result] ]]. this becomes: Viki executes a complex maneuver with (her) (Longsword) and [slashes] (the) (goblin) [cruelly across the chest as] (it) [screams]. the only downside is the tables will result in a yellow roll highlight........

I would love it if the default character sheet for new character entries was the NPC sheet. My campaign already has all of the PC sheets it needs, and every new character I create uses the NPC sheet-- but when I create one, I have to wait several seconds for the PC sheet to load before I can switch it.

@Jason - I dont think this is a good idea though I can understand why it would be useful. The vast majority of sheet users are players and although many are incredibly savvy and switched on to the workings of roll20, character sheets and so on, there are some that need a little bit of assistance to get things going....be that from another player, the DM/GM or the tools (like character sheets). I think that the single extra click is probably a minor cost to pay to prevent any confusion for those users that are less comfortable. With that all being said, does it really take several seconds for the sheet to open up after clicking the character sheet tab? This is much much longer than the times i've seen and users have reported to me. For example, clicking any one of the tabs within the sheet itself (to change page or to change between NPC/PC sheets) on a lvl 7 character with appropriately filled out data in it should typically take ~20ms or less. My experience has been that loading of the journal window and/or clicking on the "Character Sheet" tab (or any other tab) is similarly quick. I havent done too much testing on the tablet app as yet though and I would expect the performance to perhaps not be quite as quick but still pretty decent.

When you want to make a new NPC open the Template and Duplicated it, the copy will open with the NPC tab like the original is set to. This is also convenient for moving over token actions that you like to have on all your NPCs.

It's easiest to roll them separately for several reasons: The warlock may only want to shoot 2/4 of his beams It's technically easier on the code. It would require special syntax for these type of attacks that include multiple attacks. And what if each one has a different modifier to attack or damage?
I've spent quite a bit of time with both 5e sheets, and am trying to think about what I haven't found a place for. The sheets are very very good. Is there a way to add a calc field in the D&D 5e sheet to combine HP with temp_HP, so you can use that combined total in a token bar? For example, if you have 100 HP and 14 temp_HP, it'll display that a character has 114 total HP in both the token bar and on a field in the sheet. I can see how it might be difficult to set up, given the way the tokens and sheets interact. However, could you create a character sheet (or attribute) solution, so we can avoid API?

The only way to do that is a formula input that is equal to the sum of the two, but then it wouldn't be modifiable.
looked for the "newest" feedback thread and it seems to be this one, so...: It would be nice to have something like a checkbox on the skills overview to always post passive, if checked. We use passive Values often and its sometimes a safety net used for a min value when a skill is checked..
It might be handy to have some fields for the character's jumping distances, although I realize auto-calculating those might get tricky when you factor in some of the class, feat, and magic enhancements. It only comes up rarely, but when it does the game slows down for a minute while rules are checked and calculations are done.

Long jump distance is equal to strength score - there isn't a need to calculate. High jump is 3+str mod - could be calculated.

I created a macro for my character that lists the jump distances (long, high, running, with reach, etc). This is for the shaped sheet (not the sheet of this thread) so the attributes may be different. &{template:5eDefault}      {{Long = 3*0.5*@{strength} ft...... | 3*@{strength} ft}} {{High =3*0.5*(3+@{strength_mod}) ft... | 3*(3+@{strength_mod}) ft}} {{ High with reach = 3*0.5*(3+@{strength_mod})+1.5*6 ft... | 3*(3+@{strength_mod})+1.5*6 ft}}   @{Lander Calben|classactioncustom1skill}
I would be nice, and way easier to understand, if when you moused over the result of a roll, such as attack/damage that take other stats or bonuses, it would show the individual&nbsp; results instead of a long complicated math formula that doesn't show where the numbers are coming from. For example; you roll damage and it is 2d8 + modifier + proficiency bonus. Instead of having a long math formula that is mostly 0s and then other numbers thrown in there without being label, could you make it where it would show it like (D8 # 1 = (number rolled)) + (D8 #2 = (number rolled)) + (Str modifier = 3) + (proficiency modifier = 2). That way people can actually see and understand why they got the rolls they did. I sometimes wonder how people got such high/low results (at times even for my own characters) because I don't understand what all the 0s, few numbers other then 0s, and like 30+ (don't really know how many) math symbols in the formula actually represent.
