Scam email?

Someone from roll20 sent me a note saying my credit card information was no good and I needed to log in and change it. I've received invoices for the past two months in payment, as well as marketplace transactions and there has not been a problem. I checked my card balance and the funds are good for several months of dues. I don't know if this is a phishing scam, but it feels like it. Has this happened to anyone else?

Please email <a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a> so they can check into this for you.
Ok, I did what you said, and the same person wrote me back, saying the same thing. But it doesn't make any sense, because my card website invoices have the subscription debited and paid in full for each month, and also the roll20 website has my invoices in the subscription section saying I paid. This person is saying I didn't pay, but someone got that money. This is a prepaid card dedicated to this site alone, there is nothing else to muck up the works; and all prior transactions have been good to this point, and as previously stated funds are good for several more months.

That is the official email address. I escalated this through an alternate channel just in case.
Thank you for following this, the response was, that the roll20 website has a bug which shows invoices as having been paid, when they're really not paid? Cut and pasted his note here. Dennis, It looks like there was a bug on our end that was causing the invoice to display as paid even though it hasn't been yet. My apologies for that. Just to confirm, our payment processor has tried 4 times to charge the card on file and it has been declined each time. Since I can see how that would be confusing, I am crediting your account for a free month. We'll automatically attempt to renew again next month (unless you cancel before then on your My Account page), and at that time if it doesn't go through the invoice will correctly show that. Thanks! Riley The problem with all this is, I have the statements from the credit card site, which clearly shows the card being debited and money leaving the account; for the monthly fees, and marketplace transactions. If roll20 isn't taking the money, I sure would like to know who is.

It would be most helpful if you could continue this conversation with us over email. We want to make sure we are understanding the issue together. This type of information is valuable to us and can get lost in the forums. Would you mind emailing back with the concerns you expressed here?
I've sent a copy of my invoice to the address Aaron listed, which will clearly show the charges went through, including the March charge. Hope to hear from you soon and resolve this; thank you for posting.
Since this was handled over email I am closing this thread. Please email us again if you need any more help, Dennis.
