LF D&D 4e serious long-term campaign, EST weekday evenings

Hi all, I've been playing D&D 4e for a long while, but while I've tried both playing and DM'ing games on Roll20, I haven't quite found the campaign I'm looking for. I want to replicate online what I've found successful in real life: the long-term serious campaign that continues weekly for years. I'm basically looking for a reliable group of about 6 people that'll meet once a week, every week, for about 3-4 hours, from about 7pm-10pm eastern time, preferably a week day (Monday-Thursday). I'm interested in a "serious" (rather than goofy) campaign in an "appropriate" setting (rather than something really non-D&D-ish). Ideally, it would span the whole heroic, paragon, and epic tiers. It should be a relatively challenging campaign, where players have to make tactically interesting choices in combat and strategically interesting choices during role-play. I'm hoping to find a group that is very familiar with the rules and who are sufficiently versed in charop to know how to build a fun, well-themed party without the excruciating extremes of cheese or traps. While I appreciate that not everyone goes quite into the nuance of mechanics or memorizes every last glossary entry, I at least expect them not to make obvious mistakes like adding their dex or str mod to Twin Strike or ignoring the order of execution of opportunity and immediate actions. They should also be flexible enough to tackle D&D 4e's weaknesses with reasonable house-rules. I'm amiable to a rotating DM system, and would consider starting the campaign as DM, however I am not interested in organizing sessions nor in "herding cats" to get people to show up. I would expect everyone participating in this campaign to take it as seriously as I would. Let me know if this is in any way viable. -Simon
I would be glad to join in. I would prefer not to DM as I do that in my town and I can understand what it is like to herd cats. Edit: I would actually be fine DMing but I had just had my monthly game and I had two people show up on time even though I gave them a two-hour window of arrival.
I also would like a break from the cat herding, I spend most of my time DMing/coaching a low-op group along and it would be interesting to play with folks who have a better grasp of the system.
This could be cool, and I prefer to DM on a rotating system (or just one-shots), just cause DMing is alot of responsibility for a long term campaign. We wanna use skype to talk more? Or... how would you guys like to remain in contact?
I would be happy to join and could easily make the time you have presented for as long as the foreseeable future reaches. I havent had to herd cats but I have had to watch it and I would rather not have to again.  I'm not an experienced DM as I have only DM'ed a solo campaign with a good friend of mine and would prefer not to do it but will if it is asked.
Of course, the starting level and equipment can be adjusted if need be. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=569873" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=569873</a> I am 39 years old and have experience playing D&amp;D4e, and I'm looking for a long term campaign to join. Although I'm new to the roll20 interface, I have watched the YouTube tutorial video, and played a bit with the dice/drawing/selection tools on the blank map space. I'm certain I can quickly learn the necessary right and left mouse clicks.
I have created a campaign and will PM you an invite to it. I count 6 of us on this thread right now, which will be perfect if we are all able to show up regularly. Any additional posters after this notice will have to be placed on a waiting list of sorts, in case something doesn't work out.
I'm new to the Roll20 interface, but I've played D&amp;D 4e before, and ran a short campaign (about 8 sessions or so).&nbsp; It's been a little while so the nuances you mentioned about execution order I'll have to look up again, but I'm confident I can play by the rules.&nbsp; I am looking for a serious role play group that uses smart combat to make the game more interesting, not a hack and slash, loot and repeat type of game.&nbsp; I can show up regularly provided it's after 6pm (preferably 7pm) eastern time most weeknights, or anytime on Sunday.&nbsp; Fridays and Saturdays are not an option for me.&nbsp; If you're interested, or someone in the list above falls out then send me a message.
