Noob looking for d&d evening game (after 8pm eastern) Prefer 3.5

I just found this site today and it appears awesome! I would like to join a game but I want to be sure to find a game right for me. I do have a LOT of experience in role playing for fun outside of gaming, I enjoy crafting a character and building them through role playing. But I also enjoy the battle aspect, though I have less experience with that. So I am looking for a game that is fairly balanced. I have played a little d&d but I live in a very small community so the pool of players is small and caliber somewhat lacking. it usually is a failed attempt and we get nowhere. So I have some basic knowledge of how to play and all but very little practical experience in fleshing it out. could use assistance in everything from character creation to battle.

Just bumping this once, would love to find a good game.

Ah, well, if your still looking for a game, me and some friends may be starting up on a 3.5 edition campaign ((Well, for the second time. The last time there were time problems early in)) based on another campaign we had. If your interested, give a shout, and Ill give some more info. 

Might like to add that if you like 3.5, you might like pathfinder as well if you want to broaden your horizons. If your new its not to huge of a leap to take and pathfinder and 3.5 are very close together with just a few key differences. Don't nesissarily need to do pathfinder of course, just an option so you have a bit more choice if you like the 3.5 style system. :)

Right, purutzil, I have never played pathfinder but hear it is similar and if I understand right is backwards compatible with 3.5 with additional things. And I dont like 4e at all. So I prefer 3.5 but always open! :) Also interested in 3.0 just because It would be awesome to play a samurai.

Isn't there a Samurai template for 3.5?
